Really enjoy your build videos. I recently built a cigar box guitar using a kwila balustrade from Bunnings after inspiration from some of your previous videos. I hadn't thought about checking Bunnings for materials before, so thank you for the idea. Just having a look at your website and see you built a couple of ukuleles using acacia, were they from the laminated bench top panels you can purchase at Bunnings?

Hi, thanks. Yes, I have used the acacia in some builds before. Only thing I would be careful with that is larger than a ukulele or non nylon string, it’s not ideal for necks. The kwila however is plenty strong. Keep building!

Hello! I'm very new to the instrument making hobby and I was wondering how to know where to put your frets? How do u determine how many/where they go?

Hi. You could copy an existing instrument as one option. I usually use a fret position calculator: www.stewmac.com/fret-calculator/
As for position on the body for the bridge, for acoustic i generally aim for between 1/2 way and 2/3 way down from the top of the body for acoustic resonance. Good luck!
