I designed the original BMTH to go there because it was generally wasted space in SWAT belts. It was usually the area where the extra belt strap would go, because it’s the side you use to tighten the belt usually, and it also meant you lost some Velcro surface area on the back of the belt. So the BMTH added Velcro retention to your belt while also utilizing that otherwise wasted space to hold a TQ. Also it’s close to centerline of your body allowing you to draw the TQ with both hands. Hope that makes sense.
Awesome point to be made about clearing the draw from the level 3 holsters for duty carry. Keep up the good vids man.
