For my Safariland holsters I use blue loctite to prevent the screws from backing out. I also put witness marks on the screws so I can easily check to see if they've loosened. Works for me anyway.
Yep. I do the same. Not a bad idea to have the Allen wrench taped to the back of the holster also though. Stuff always happens at the worst time. 🇺🇸
just a standard patrol officer in a large municipality but I haven’t had any issues running the GBRS IFAK patch on my back. Had to put together my own contents and vacuum seal it but no complaints so far.
Anything on my back day after day sitting in vehicles kills whatever’s left of my back after years of BJJ and wearing a duty belt lol
I run a small helikon tex fanny pack for my ifak. Not attached to my belt, so I can leave it on my backside when not in a vehicle, or I can spin it around to my front when sitting in a vehicle. The fanny pack sling basically rests right behind my mag pouches and holster adapter.

LTC responder, LBT/LBXs 9022b and stretch IFAKs are thin asf for the 6 o clock
A small vertical IFAK like eleven10s PTAKS/MBOK (super slick, pretty much a vertical BFG MTKN), BFG TKN small, or HSGIs Revive or Bleeder/blowout, or even any flapped double AR mag pouch with an insert such as green force gears/tactical tailors/ATS’s would be nice right behind the mags
Or move the TQ to from of the holster with a theory police NCP-E or HAM, and put an ifak at that 1 o clock position
Or if you’re running soft armor you can try the tacmed solutions uniformed medical kit
A small fanny pack would also work well, like a spiritus SACK, AWS snack pack, or about arms medical nut ruck
For IWB ifaks, i like immediate casualty care’s offerings, as well as mastermind tactics IWB pouches
Ankle kit like aptus LVAK or dark angel medicals; or a pocket kit such as NAR or LTCs wallet looking things would also work
I have most of these in hand already, or have tried them before personally so lmk if you have any questions
Sounds good. I personally do not like anything attached to my holster, being a level III I have seen the TQ’s slide up from the 1110 or similar designs on the holster during DT and prevent / block the hood from going down all the way without resistance.
The fanny pack is a tried and true IFAK and does work great in vehicles. Old school cool that just works.
@@SoileaterYThave you thought about just using a Fanny pack offset while you’re sitting in the vehicle then just rotate it from the side to your lower back when you get out

In terms of med kits, I carry an ankle trauma kit from Ryker Nylon gear. I’ve never found an issue sitting in a vehicle or walking around a city with it on and being uncomfortable. Might be something to consider for your warrant gear. In my kit I have 2x NAR packing gauze, 2x chest seals, a TQ, 2x gloves and small shears so I can carry the basics of an IFAK. They also don’t bulge out or look weird unless someone stares at your ankle. Working in private surveillance / investigations type work, I’ve never had an issue of it being seen.
If it’s will fit around my skinny ankles 😂
@@SoileaterYT hahah it will. It comes with an extender which I use for when I’m wearing boots but you can easily take that off.
I have the same exact warrant setup for ops and always had issues with finding the right med kit. I’m currently running a Eleven10 PTAK to the right of my rifle pouch. Holds a compression bandage, gauze, gloves, and compact chest seals. I highly recommend it for your warrant belt.

Good video brother, you’re description of your assignment currently is nearly identical to mine at moment, SWAT/Warrant task force. I enjoy watching even though I’m pretty happy with my current setup I like to see what others are doing. Keep it up gives me something to watch during cardio lol

Yeah Iv seen both. The small ones do not work for how my team uses them for clear/secure. And the one hundred concepts just seems kinda silly to me. But to each their own. Just my opinion.

Maybe using a JSTA pouch as a mag holder and med kit can help you keep it on your belt but off your lower back

Appreciate, just trying to get some info out there. Half the time I am running on no sleep.
Take a look at ridgeline outfitters, they make a drop offset to lower your belt mag pouch so it doesn’t contact with your plate carrier.
I don’t have any issues with it, but yeah they make a good solution for people who do.
I’d recommend the Kore Essentials belt for EDC. Very nice ratchet belt if you’re into that style. Great video! 👍

Yeah I’m aware of it. These are free. And those are very small and hard to kick after secondaries.

Did you mention that you tried the Ferro Concepts Roll 1 and didn’t like it? I was looking into it as a patrol vest med kit but was concerned that it would be uncomfortable in a vehicle. What’s your thoughts for med kit placement when running a patrol vest ie: Oregon city style?

Honestly the t rex med kit pouch isnt bad as far as comfort is concerned. Its alittle more flat
The pouches are both the same size, until you put items in it. The TRex design is strange to me with a pull tab and zippers. Not a great design in my opinion.
What do you think about other similar systems of QLS in terms of safety? Do you think the QLS is the safest of all? I worry about someone taking off my holster during fighting when taking someone into custody
The QLS like any quick release is going to add in failure points. Most attachments are plastic with metal hardware. Anything can fail. If you don’t need to use it, I wouldn’t.
On your new unit belt, have you considered the BFG trauma micro now?
That thing is huge still. Anything on the small of your back during 8 hour surveillance sucks.
You Know what you are talking kkk 8h 12h inside a car, is hard! For long time surveillance your back must be clear. I think I am going with arbor arms Jedburgh (for ifak & backup), work plainclothes and investigation @@SoileaterYT

They send me the pads for around the holster drop and they were awesome. I dig them.
What handcuffs do you run? I have the ASP sentry cuffs but they don’t work well with the handcuff holder that you have
So all my cuffs are department issued, they must be Peerless.
What do you think about the True North Concept MHA compared to the Safarailand UBL?
I have not tried the True North attachment yet. But teammates have and say good things.

Yeah, it’s a Ferro concepts slickster with their pouch system. Great little plate carrier to throw on in a hurry.
What clips are you using for the hsgi cuff pouch?
The actual pouches come in two versions, a one wrap belt loop or molle. Of molle, just a malice clip, it comes with.

Why wouldn't you wanna use a KORE belt during plain cloth duty?
I need to be able to throw on my warrant belt quickly, so with the loop belt I’m able to tuck in my shirt and attach it quick.
