Listen, man. Ray is a good jobbing songwriter and guitarist. He's OK. Professional, if you like. But an American Poet? If Ray is an American Poet, then what the fk is Allen Ginsberg? The garbage guy? Oh no, that was Bob Dylan, a rubbish lyric poet of the 1960s. Steve Earle was top of his game. Whether he'd let a publicity shyster like you on his table, I very much doubt. Keep screaming how good a man is and folks begin to wonder why the man's work caint speak fer itself is what my daddy usta say.
I had NO idea Ray Wylie wrote this- Lord have mercy- 💟

Fascinating early stuff
A great story teller.
I've just shared this with my friends because, apparantly here in VA, folks need to get to know RWH a little better. A worthwhile endeavor...
Thanks for the history. I just started to listen to RAY, and I didn't know anything about his early career.
Well done...I wish more folks could hear and understand. This is what music is supposed to sound like.

Geez, lighten up. RWH doesn't mind sharing the arena with Dylan and Ginsberg -- there's plenty of room for all.
