    Great video. Always like to see how it’s done so I do it w/o a glitch. One question I have for you is - do you have to do some kind of reset for the computer so the computer knows you did an oil change?

    Love how Ford went back to the metal oil pan.. lol That's why I love my 2015

    • @THEDriverMod_
      @THEDriverMod_  7 місяців тому

      I didn't mind the plastic pan

    • @RidinONChrome
      @RidinONChrome 7 місяців тому

      @THEDriverMod_ the pan itself is probably ok. It's the stupid plastic drain plug that can cause problems

      @RidinONChrome never had issues with those either. Super simple oil change process and don't gotta worry about over tightening it

    How do you reset the oil service gauge?

    Great video excellent and very well explained. I think the new mustang 2024. It is a better developed car than the S5 50 but why they don’t have the oil cooler steel you could have the engine cooler at all times anyway thank you very .From Sydney Australia 🇦🇺 😮😅😊

    You check the filter this time? Any update on what was in the filter last time ?

    They didn’t go up to 5W-30 bc of the temps, they did it because it’s better HTHS due to the heat not the heat itself. Actually thinner oil runs cooler than thicker oil.

    • @THEDriverMod_
      @THEDriverMod_  19 днів тому

      To a certain point yes. Problem is once the thinner oil gets hot enough, it will thin out and not properly protect

  • @Ybm9000
    @Ybm9000 6 місяців тому

    Why did you go with 5w30 and not 5w50 like everyone recommends for the coyote engine ?

    • @THEDriverMod_
      @THEDriverMod_  6 місяців тому +1

      @Ybm9000 the recommended weight is 5w30. If you pit 5w50 in and Do NOT have an oil cooler like the non Performance cars do not come with then your oil will get hot and have a harder time disapating the heat as it requires more energy to remove the heat from the oil. Does that make sense?

  • @DBravo29er

    Have you considered moving to an A40 rated 0w-40 oil?

    • @THEDriverMod_
      @THEDriverMod_  7 місяців тому

      Without and oil cooler, that would honestly be even worse. Reason being is, the higher and oils viscosity, the more heat it retains and the more energy it takes to remove heat from it so actually running that, the oil temps would climb faster and stay higher for longer. Getting an oil cooler is the only option to fix the temp issues

    I was already going with Amsoil already but still here to see what’s up. I use Motul on the STI though. So I haven’t done the oil yet but for that bbq tick they say to add two bottles of ceretec so is that full 10qts and the two bottles? I’m hoping mine doesn’t tick but just asking

    • @THEDriverMod_
      @THEDriverMod_  6 місяців тому

      The tick is just an annoying sound. I've never used Ceratec myself in my own stuff as ive never had the noise, I've put it in some cars ive serviced and it doesn't work so for me it's just a waste, on top of yhe fact the noise doesn't contribute to any reliability or performance issues. Just a sound and that's it.

      @@THEDriverMod_ so I was just watching other videos and the guys using amsoil notices theirs wasn’t doing it vs others that used motorcraft or other oils so yeah I think the amsoil might just be enough without additives.

      @@E85_STI that could also definitely be a reason too

      I would NOT USE ceratec if Ford gets any idea you did and you have engine warranty issues they will use it against you - the stuff is NOT needed.
      Question for the Channel - It looks like you took off the dress up manifold cover - are you planning on putting that back on …?
