I knew when I was uh-I think ten, I came out at the same age and my mom told me I wasn’t. It has been 3 and a half years and I’m still lesbian.
My best friend came out to me by writing a really meaningful letter and she thought I wasn't going to accept her. I did because she's my best friend and my sister by heart and it doesn't matter what gender you are or who you like. All that matters is that you're not hiding yourself and that you're being you

I felt weird coming out to my friends even tho I knew they were gonna be supportive. I’ve been talking to them about lgbt stuff constantly but i was still afraid to come out to them 🙈 and as expected they were supportive xD

The fact that there are parents who would rather having their kids in a toxic abusive relationship, rather then a “homosexual” one, just because “At least their straight” is disgusting for me. I am pansexual and queer, and there was a time when I was probably around 9 that I would look at girls and think they were cute, the same way I thought about boys, I was afraid people would judge me for seeing girls and boys in the same way. I have known I was not straight my entire life, and now I have people from my class asking me about stuff related to LGBTQ+ and am not ashamed to use myself as an example and to say I am pansexual and queer. And I hope we as a society and a whole start accepting better everyone, regardless of gender, sexuality, race, religion, ethnicity, ...
That reminds me of Rosa's line from Brooklyn 99 when she's coming out to her parents: "So you would rather me be some guy's mistress than be in a loving relationship with a woman?"

I knew that I was different when I was 11. I still don't fully know what I am, but I know that no matter the age, we know that we are different.
I figured out I’m pansexual three months after I turned 12 and then five months later that I’m genderfluid, you’re never too young. And I hope you figure out “what“ you are soon!☺️

I love that you are including trans people in this. I didn't even know there was a non-binary character in TV right now taking us along in their journey. In general, I need to check out a lot more TV shows and movies after this. After I stop crying, though. Thanks for sending this in a positive message. It means a lot.

Star Trek: Discovery also has a non-binary character (starting I think in season 4?) who is just starting to come out and also had a trans boyfriend.

zoë’s story was really touching. she was so mean to people because she hated her own sexuality.
I loved zoë’s story so much because it’s one of the few that truly shows internalised homophobia and it helped me and others a lot

My best friend told me she was bi and when i said that was awesome she was confused because her bestfreind was mad at her for it... she also told me what ace was that night and turns out I’m ace i thought i was broken and she helped me see I wasn’t.
