"I didn't know." Well, if you had been accompanying and watching the dogs like a law abiding owner, you would know. Is it even legal to have that many dogs?
When you can't get your sh together to put a roof over your head, why have more than one dog? I can understand the one dog. Everyone needs a buddy. I am glad he's mindful enough to get the dogs into a more responsible hands. That is, if he's being sincere, and not just a good bullsh'tter as many of these hobos are.
@@MaureenKo1 I'm almost as old as the cosmic dust and asteroids the dirt came from. The ancients knew the right words: vagabonds, drifters, and hobos. They are not the unhoused, in-between-homes homebuyers, perennial RV campers, or young people who have fallen on hard times. They are committed to the life and the lifestyle.
People that cannot take care of themselves get animals they cannot properly care for and expect the rest of us to make exceptions and pay for their care.
I’m sure the local humane society can help. Their kennels are always empty of good dogs to adopt. People just swarm the kennels to adopt. Unlike many states on the mainland that are filled…but people adopt there too. There just less available pups in Hawaii to adopt .
Our shelters and rescues are all overflowing. 2 years ago, while there were still so many folks working from home, these was a shortage of dogs in the shelters. But not now.
It's all well and good to want to help but this guy is way iver his head and left them there cause he new they wouldn't be able to leave. This dude is clearly a user as well. Be responsible dude come on. At least he can admit the wrong doing

Yes, it was a problem, a dangerous problem. I am not making light of the situation he put others through. I do want to highlight some positivity here: this man's humility. A lot of people, not just homeless, can be hoarders. To ask them to part with their things, especially their furry friends, can be traumatic for them. This man speaks well, and I'd wish he could improve his life.
@@MaureenKo1 vet check ups for a dozen dogs?? No homeless or homeowner can afford that. There used to be free vet care for the homeless but that stopped during Covid and never started back up. When your dealing with mental illness a problem like this can easily escalate…just like homelessness.
Brah that’s how it’s now days people who can’t even care properly for them selves having feral dogs, cats and taking over and squeezing out other people for using theses areas smh
If I were in charge there I would make him responsible for cleaning up all the garbage on the sandbar as well as any messes the dogs left behind & I would have the animals euthanized if not adopted since he is unable to keep them someplace safe. I would also ban him from being at that location.
Make Hawaii a better and cleaner place. Put down all the dogs that roam freely, same goes for the cats, rats and mice. Ring neck parrots, mynah birds, peacock, chickens, pigs, mongoose, mosquitoes and everything else. Bring old Hawaii back.

Poor homeless man made these animals his family. I feel bad for him and the dogs who love him and he loves them. I wish them all the best.

To yourself? Who cares. This is about animals that can’t fend for themselves.
You should use it on yourself

Humility? Are you out of your mind? This is not humility. It's, negligence, arrogance and disrespect for the land.

just put them down already seesh
Put *all* of them down. Homeless have a poor track record with their "makeshift" kennels and keeping their dog packs from attacking people.
