Back then we would have used hot rollers, flipped our hair over and teased like crazy for that volume! Then we’d break out the Aqua Net and spray until hair was glued in place for days! 😅
Me to a 80's-90's teen and we wore so much aqua net that a tornado could hit us and my hair would still be perfectly in place afterwards and when I smell aqua net it brings back so many good memories
I wouldn’t brush them or even finger comb them out at all! Let them fall some as you get ready and then look at them before you have to leave and see if they need any finger combing. Most likely they will fall a little and won’t need any combing and your curls will stay intact longer!

What happens if you shower in the AM? Obviously, you use a shower cap. Does the humidity make the curls fall right away? Do you wait a bit to take your hair down? Thanks.
