Just wondering, if the kettle is hot then will it affect the handle, the top button for the soft open lid and all the lever/buttons below? I'm just afraid that everything is hot to touch 😅

Hello,
The handle is protected on the inside with a rubber layer to avoid any damage. We recommend waiting for the kettle to cool before attempting to open the lid to fill the kettle up again.

@V.A yeah, I decided not to purchase the Smeg kettle part of the reason is that the kettle -cap isn't made well and its plastic therefore I think easily built-up lime stain even though every kettle has the lasses with stain but the Smeg kettles are more so, I have electric green De'Longhi kettle and toaster and had for over year and haven't issues at all, maybe because the inside the kettle made of all stan-steel? could be ?? I really like Smeg products (do have Smeg- toaster, drip coffee maker and milk frother and also waiting for coffee grinder to be arrive), bottom line is when purchasing the expensive small appliances should be good care -will lest long term life span

my kettle is brand new and leaking from the side bottom of the temperature guage how can i fix this. there are no cracks and it doesn't leak all the time. randomly will start leaking

Do you have to reset the temperature each use? or does it stay set to the one selected?
