Hi Helen, For the outside of the kettle, we can advice that you use a little tooth brush and dip in the liquid which contains the descale solution (descale cleaner you would use on the inside) while the water is still hot and brush it. We do advise that gloves are worn since the water is hot and the descale can dry the skin. I hope this helps. - Poppy

Can you use delonghi descaler for machine or alternatively lemon with the vinegar ??
All 4 dishwash scents today were lemon
Or vinegar is fine itself

How do you remove rust ? My smeg kettle has rust build in the outer ring and it’s difficult to get too. Can it be taken apart ?
