- Effects really help to enhance a TONE and help them to come alive. REVERB (which is short for REVERBERATION) is the effect that simulates spaces, from small rooms to large stadiums and cathedrals. You can select from several types (32 on the CT-X5000 and 25 on the CT-X3000 - 01 is OFF on both keyboards).
These are presets and the parameters can't be adjusted, though you can alter the amount of "dry" sound that is send to the effect, commonly known as REVERB SEND. This is best done within the MIXER pages.
This is one of several videos that will get you more familiar with these effects and help you to customise the keyboard to your own liking.
My Dear Mr. Wallace. Thank you for this. As you know, the manual from Casio was written by people who honestly believe that they know how to speak English. Your tutorials are greatly adding to the enjoyment that I am getting from my keyboard. Thanks again.
Thank you so much. To be honest, I think most users now realise the manual only adds to the confusion - it still trips me up! But glad the videos are proving useful and that you're getting the benefit of the huge potential of this keyboard. It's worth it - especially considering the price when compared to more expensive gear. All the best to you. 😎
Dear Stewart, you are a God send. I have contacted the Casio Corporate Tech's who could not explain anything to the point where they just broke down and admitted, they themselves could not understand their own manual and have no direction to send me then replied "GOOD LUCK". PLEASE consider contacting them here in the USA. I am sure they'll pay your fee. Please make more Casio 3000 instructional. I would love to understand how to operate the music/song writing/recording capabilities. Thanks again Stewart Wallace
Thanks for the positive feedback. I'm just pushing this thing as far as I can, initially for my own benefit and curiosity but also I'm sure it must make sense to someone out there! Plus, I won't be beaten. I still think it's got bags of musical potential for the price, either as a stand-alone keyboard or as a sound module and controller hooked up to a DAW.
Again, really appreciate your feedback. Take care. 👍
I had this keyboard from 2 years and had no idea how to do this thxx
That's fantastic! It's got a massive amount of power for the cost of the keyboard - it's just really frustrating to find how to do things, which is why I've been doing these videos, partly for my own benefit. But also I'm really pleased the videos are helping others. All the best. 😎
Keep these tutorials coming I've had the 5000 for nearly two years and only now have I found a way to add effects. The manual for me was written by white coats!
Thanks master, I bought this keyboard like a month ago based on your videos, keep up with your tutorials so we could enjoy the keyboard to its maximum potential, thanks.
Thank you so much!!!
Do this have a audio out put to plug in a speaker on this keyboard.
Yep, there's a combined headphone and audio output on the CT-X3000. Just plug that into a mixer channel or speaker input and you're good to go. You can turn off the keyboard speakers or turn them on - the choice is yours. On the CT-X5000 there are dedicated audio outputs, so that still leaves you with an output for headphones. Apparently, the CT-X5000 speakers are more powerful than the CT-X3000 - but I find these are adequate for home and small gigs and it saves having to hook up to a keyboard combo. In louder situations you will need a PA or keyboard combo. All the best.
@@StewartWallaceSJWMusic thanks can provide a link to buy one please. Because I am trying to find one, but I am not sure what to look for
Does reverb etc affect in coming audio? I thought I read that it does not.
