Totally agree with Amna that when a man hit his wife first time he can hit her again. Speaking from personal experience I said same to my ex husband when he hit me first time but I forgave him for the sake of family pride, its not that I had family pressure cos my family even did not know that he has hit me. It was my own thinking which was wrong and when he did it second time that was it I left him. Alhamdulillah my family was so supportive even my mum and brothers said why did you not tell us when he hit you first time.

What an overblown appreciation of Raqs-e-bismil by Hassan! I dont understand what Hassan and Aamna are raving about.
Last scenes of the final episode reminded me of movie theatre days back home, when I used to find people started walking out of theatre during the last scenes of a movie, even before The End . I used to wonder why, but years later the last scenes of Raqs-e-bismil provided the answer.
I stopped watching the episode while the male lead Imran was going ON AND ON with his extended romantic dialogs for few minutes and before I could not take it any longer.

Why do our dramas lack common sense?
Dunk: The dumb lawyer ,( who couldn’t even speak properly), didn’t bother to question the witnesses whether they saw the rape attempt actually happening or not. Then, Safeer, is able to hear everything clearly standing at a distance outside the closed room , while at the night of Minal, Haider wedding , Amal spurted out the truth right outside the door. Minal was inside the room , but didn’t hear a thing. All this and we thought Haider would record the conversations and use as proof.😌
In PSM , although Sikander sends a message to Zainab giving her 30 hours to decide, but she never thought of forwarding it to chacha Faiz, as a proof that Sikandar was not sincere in marrying his daughter.
KAM3: The boy who appears to have lost his senses, remembers all details of his few days with Mahi, but doesn’t remember or even think about his loving parents and specially mom.
Maybe we, the viewers, are the ones who lack common sense as we still continue watching these dramas.🙃

I read this comment, and towards the end I was like "is this Mahnoor Qureshi" and scrolled back up to confirm 😂 jo aap ne last mei likha hai na bas wohi baat hai... you're absolutely right. I used to feel some sort of guilt about skipping episodes/scenes where things get too depressing/difficult for the main characters. But then I realised... I've read all 5 volumes of A Song of Ice and Fire without skipping a page, so the problem isn't that I only want to watch happy-happy content. It's that the conflicts created in these dramas are so stupid easy to solve if only they had 2 working brain cells. I end up getting really annoyed, so why bother?

    • @YourNEBOSHguide
      @YourNEBOSHguide 3 роки тому +5

Mahnoor, you are right on point regarding your observations. I too find a lack of common sense approach to the script and story writing. Some time back also there was a serial which ended very regressively. Yes, pak drama actors are fantastic and diakoges are good but at the end of the dsy if we analyse these stories are still the rona dhona, victim girl stereotypes. Also one of the premise of the dramas is that either a guy loves his cousi. And he is not allowed or the opp where he wants to Mary someone else but family insists that he marry the cousin. I mean are these stories really mirroring the typical society of Pakistan?

Raqs e bismil: I really liked the ending, especially that Nikah scene when Pir sahab reads and says Musa's name out of nowhere and last scene of Musa and Zohra.. these two scenes are commendable!
However, I found the episode a bit rushy, as if they wanted to end in a rush. And I would also like to see Eesa and Sakina's happy ending, although they reconciled but still..
I observed that Pir sahab wasn't that much surprised after knowing about Zohra's background, which was really unusual of his character..
If they didn't shoot the last 10 episodes the way they were shot, the ending episodes could be shown in a complete way not rushy..
    Nevertheless, the ending was amazing!

I totally understand your criticism of Dunk! I'm loving the show but your comments made me laugh a lot :D Just a quick correction, though - Minaal's brother didn't lie in court. He said Haider that came to his house 1.5 days after the incident looking for Minaal, and that he refused him entry and then Haider got violent with him and his servant. That did happen. The only way in which he sort of lied was that he kind of sugar-coated his own role in that incident; he made it sound like uska Haider ke saath bartao bade sharif qism ka tha when he was actually pretty rude, essentially forcing Haider to be insistent/defensive/loud back.

Dilnasheen will pay for wanting a way out of this toxic marriage and fall back in the feet of her husband because this is Pakistan, they can not show leaving your jerk husband for an ex as a good thing. They can not show that women should have agency to choose their life partners. In the end dilnasheen will be the one apologizing. Haider will be the hero. Moral: Endure abuse, don't ever dare to like someone before marriage, don't ever think about leaving your husband even if he emotional torments you and slaps you out of suspiscioun. Who wants to bet? This will result in being a lesson for girls to never develop feelings for anyone before marriage instead of for people to treat women with respect.

i think the arguments the defense lawyer was making in dunk literally bring to light all the plotholes in the story. it's like the writer realized that the plotholes were so glaringly apparent, and fed them to the lawyer to make it seem like they were intentional. but the problem is that the story don't make any sense. we didn't really get much clarity on why minal married haider several episodes back, and we still don't know why even after the the lawyer brought it up in court. minal and haider themselves don't know why they got married lol. also thanks for the english translation at 38:07 haha, helps me with my vocabulary as i'm from the US.

    • @wishhh7546
      @wishhh7546 3 роки тому

@@user-fk7sk9ut1t the issue isn't even about love.the whole "haider is lonely" thing is what amal told minal, but then when haider confronts minal about it after they get married, she just ends up saying something like "oh i married you not because amal just said so" and doesn't elaborate. minal probably wouldnt have thought of marrying haider had amal not even brought up his loneliness. she didn't even know how haider was feeling until amal told her about it. so it's not just because they were good friends and Haider was lonely. Minal did not give any other reason as to why she married him, and so the reasoning falls apart in the story and also in the court scene as the defense lawyer brings up.

    • @vp98215

@@wishhh7546 amal put the idea of marrying haider but its pretty obvious it wasn't the sole reason...minal herself saw what haider was going through and how his guilt is killing him from inside... she wanted to be his support system and be there for him... since this is a pak drama marriage is the only option since a girl cannot be supportive and be with a guy for hours just as a friend... also i guess minal started to have feelings for haider after seeing to what level he can go to correct his mistakes... she herself is high on morals and haider's morals might have attracted her... she saw haider in a different light... as for haider, he got extremely attached and dependent on minal as she was literally the only one who was trying to understand him without questioning him and she helped him with the matter of prof's wife and daughter... its also shown that out of his friends he was already more attached to minal even when amal was in the picture...
als haider's lawyer is clearly laying low so that amal's lawyer can put all his cards on the table... its only been one hearing... the lawyer is like haider... lays low and fight back when the opponent dont have any defence anymore.... in the promo its already shown that she is gonna give a hard time to amal in the court room...

Haider supported her through what he thought was a difficult time for her emotionally and was unmarried to her. This doesn’t have anything to do with what’s acceptable in a Pak society considering how close Amal and Haider were and the dialogues between them back in the beginning of the drama. The story isn’t consistent with its reasoning, which is the point I’m trying to make.

KAM3: I want tips from Farhad on how he is keeping his hair so blow dried hair silky and smooth even when he is at the mazaar with no shampoo or conditioner because even after constantly oiling and shampooing my hair, it’s just a mess. Watching Mahi literally become a maid as a means of self-punishment is painful to watch. I wish she gets happiness because she is innocent.
Dunk: Court scenes were an atrocity to see because Haider’s lawyer was just so lazy and incompetent at her job. Reminded me of Cheekh.
PSM: I didn’t like the overdone message of saving izzat because even if Rakhshi ran away, one couldn’t blame her at all and yet they showed it again. Also, can she stop crying for once? From the beginning of the drama till the end, her tears are never ending.

ReB: Even after the numerous problems I had, the last episode was wonderful that was reminiscent of the initial charm the drama had. Although, Saint Zohra didn’t end her rampage, but her monologue with Peer Sahib, made her character seem human and help understand her situation better but I had hoped that the writer didn’t go all his way to sanctify Zohra up until this point. Had her character been written better, Musa’s journey and endless love for her would’ve looked justified (for me at least). Also, I found Peer Sahib’s eventual decision of Musa marrying Zohra unconvincing. That being said, the nikah scene was so gorgeous to view like the setting of the scene, Musa’s wish coming true and his “Qabool Hai” scene was endearing to say the least. Also, the editing and the background music was top-notch in this episode especially the last scene and when Musa holds Zohra’s hand and takes her outside it was simply beautiful. Really, Imran Ashraf outdid himself in this serial (even though in few scenes he overacted) and was extremely convincing in the lost lover role; one of his best roles. I only wish that the writer and director didn’t drag the drama that it lost most of its interest and charm.

Unfortunately pakistani serials show a lot of domestic violence towards women, girls. "Thappad hi to Mara hai" is a common dialogue......watch Tapsee's Thappad. And most serials revolve around marriage. There is much more to life than just marriage. Would love to see some serials where women are empowered by education and financial independence.......was the ending of ghisi pitti mohabbat👌. But at the end of the day.....These are just dramas.....they have to be melodramatic!🙂

I actually don’t agree with all the praise you gave raqse bismil. Dragging on for 20 episodes and then putting 4 episodes worth of stuff into one final episode has got to stop. Its so frustrating. The last scene between zohra and Musa was awesome. But the rest of the plot was extremely predictable. Somebody will overhear something somewhere and just change their mind. I also feel there should have been a proper scene of musa with his dad. After all the drama, there should have been good closure.

Even in the last episode of Raqs-e-bismil, Zohra made no sense. I get where she was coming from a bit that "I don't deserve this place" or "I don't want to bring more chaos in this family" but being obedient to Peer Sahab to prove her sanity was hella senseless. If Peer Sahb is fine with Zohra being that girl, then he would have been fine if they would have married and convinced Peer Sahb/saying no to shadi with Ahmed/answering the question directly that AGAR ZOHRA US JAGA PAIDA HUI HAI OR MEIN AP K GHAR TW IS MEIN ZOHRA KA KIA QASUR even if she wasn't that saint and purified but stuck in that system. Zohra constantly saying mujhe apni taqdeer pr yaqeen aa gya k tum meri qismat mein nahi ho, milna taqdeer mein nahi hai etc and then again saying to peer sahb "Taqdeer mujhe wapis is jaga le ae". Exactly bebs, taqdeer tumhe le ae thi so please be reasonable. Agar Ahmed ka acha insan na jagta tw???? ZOHRA WAS ABSURDDDD. As we have been saying for a long time, Raqs-e-Bismil was Moosa and his pure and respectful love, nothing else. Though, the very last scene was well directed, treat for eyes. The funny part was that Moosa went to Ahmed in different dress and appearance but he had so much trust in capabilities of Ahmed that he came to Shadi wala ghar with white kurta, well combed hair, dhula dhula mun pure cute and clean and tidy look, this made me laugh so hard xD. (trivial thing that made me smile)
Moreover, Dunk court scene was so i don't have words. Where such stupid lawyer exist. No disrespect to that lady but her acting as a lawyer was so bad, her demeanor was idk what. Koi logics, koi sawal, koi reasoing kuch bhi nhi tha. I know more than these TV lawyers. Just to show the culprit winning the battle or the strong candidate in the battle, they make the other side look so stupid and weak and unreasonable. Bhaeeee they can look weak in this unjust system even by hiring a sane lawyer. Ajeeb.

Raqs-e-Bismil: Sorry Hassan, you said 'Ja Tujhe Maaf Kiya' but what we got in the last episode was not enough. I totally agree that the romantic scene was so intense and soothing at the same time, but after dragging the show with nonsensical crap for so many episodes, the dose of one satisfying scene was not enough. Why they give the viewers what they want only in the last scenes of the last episode? At least, there should be one more episode in which they should have showed walima reception in which Moosa was wearing some good clothes and having a happy time with his loved ones.

Fitoor - after the last episode, taking inspiration from Hassan I spent some time thinking what I'd do if I was in Dilnasheen's place. Yeh mushkil kaam tha because I'm pretty much the opposite of her (having been raised by a normal, loving family alhamdulillah as opposed to her). Pehli baat toh maine ek thappad khaane pe ulta do de dena tha. And if that wasn't possible I'd still raise hell, go to the police, instant khula notice.
But what should Dilnasheen do? Hamza seems like the obvious option, but is no one else suspicious that Hamza might be playing Dilnasheen? I'm team Hamza too but halka sa ek suspicion shuru ho gaya hai.
But staying with Haider is an absolute NO.
I have a simple solution... Dilnasheen should gather as many of those pretty diamond necklaces and other jewellery that have been gifted to her since her wedding... And maybe make a deal with Mehmal, like "yeh male chauvinist pig aap ko mubaarak ho, I'll get out of your way, I just need some funds in exchange". Same with Hamza, he's loaded right.
Bas collect enough funds to cover education and a few years of living peacefully by herself. If after her Khula Hamza is still around wanting to marry her, sure thing.
And this, girls, is why mahr is important. It's your security blanket.
