Congrats on the new monoski! My first time monoskiing was at Bachelor in 89' and have been a monoski junkie ever since...I'm in Washington but we hit Hood in the summer with a bunch of other monoskiers from the White Knuckle stables...vive le glisse
Hey my name is Cooper Cantor and I’m 14 years old and I’m trying to get into mono skiing. But I do admit it is hard to find info online as you said. Any more info you give me about mono skiing?
Hi Cooper, I'm excited you're getting into monoskiing. I'm not sure what info you are after but I am working on a "how-to" video that explains the things I've learned as I taught myself to monoski. I'm hoping to get out this weekend and get some on slope demonstrations recorded so I can share those. Is there something specific I can help you with?
@@pnwmonoguy Hey, Thanks for getting back to me. I was looking on eBay for a mono-ski and there is one for $250 with bindings but it is 115 cm, I am 5'7, would a 115 cm mono-ski be okay for me? or would it be too short.
@@coopop7479 Unfortunately I think that's going to be a bit short for you. I'm 5'5" and I ride a 182. 182 is probably the top end of what I would be comfortable on for a ski that's active and fun to turn. On the other end a board that is too short is likely to feel squirrelly and unstable. Good luck with the search.
I was a monoski enthusiast in the 80's and 90's. Now my kids are interested in skiing and I am looking to get back into it. What did you do with your old board? I'd be interested in buying it.
Hi Jeff, I'm stoked you're thinking of taking up monoskiing again. After 12 seasons my old board is in rough shape so I am hesitant to do anything other than retire it. I found my first mono on Craigslist locally but there's about a dozen companies currently making monoskis so you've got a lot of options. Let me know if you want the list. Good luck.
@@pnwmonoguy Thanks. I know the places online to buy. Just concerned about finding someone to set it up locally here in the Midwest. The shop I used many years ago went out of business a long time ago. Did the Faction board come with binding mounting instructions?
@@jeffwarshauer1994 Hi Jeff, There are mounting instructions specifically for the mono on Faction's website. I've never mounted my own bindings so I can't say if they totally explain everything but the biggest piece of advice from the tech that did mine was measure a bunch of times using calipers, mark everything out with tape and a grease pen before you drill. I have seen a few custom shops that will ship a new mono with bindings already mounted. Good luck.
@@jeffwarshauer1994 I went out last week and it is an awesome ski. I am really happy with it, the look bindings I used, and how I mounted them. I posted a video of my first thoughts a few days ago if you want to check it out.
That's a new one I haven't heard of. Their video just came out in November 2020 so they must be new to the scene. I can't find a purchase option on their website but it's in French so I am not entirely sure what to look for. I'll try to dig into it a bit more and if I find anything I'll let you know.
My first video! If you find it or any of my other videos helpful please subscribe to the channel.

Bachelor in 89 was my regular haunt. Hood in the summer is always good. I hope to run into you sometime. Enjoy the turns.

Are the Cool Attack mono skis available to purchase?
