My favourites from Capaldi: "I'm not sure if any of that matters. Friends. Enemies. So long as there is mercy. Always mercy." "Human progress isn't measured by industry. It's measured by the value you place on a life. An unimportant life. A life without privilege. The boy who died on the river, that boy's value is your value. That's what defines an age. That's what defines a species."
They missed some of Ten's best quotes. "There's no such thing as an ordinary human" "Some people live more in twenty years than others do in eighty. It's not the time that matters, it's the person." "There's lots of things you need to get across the universe. Warp drive. Worm hole refractors. You know the thing you need most of all? A hand to hold." "I think you look like giants." "Wilf, it's my honor."
Quote and speeches aren't that far off from Doctor who because the quote were apart of the speeches themselves. Not to mention, there were some aspects missing from Smith's and Capaldi's speeches.
"I'm the Doctor. I'm a Time Lord. I'm from the Planet Galifrey in the Constillation of Casterberous. I'm 903 years old and I'm the Man who's going to save your live and all 6,000,000 people on the planet bellow. Anyone got any problems with that? - Well in that case, Allons-y"...... I think that counts as a speech.
The Doctor: I don't understand? Are you kidding? Me? Of course I understand. I mean, do you call this a war, this funny little thing? This is not a war. I fought in a bigger war than you will ever know. I did worse things than you could ever imagine, and when I close my eyes... I hear more screams than anyone could ever be able to count! And do you know what you do with all that pain? Shall I tell you where you put it? You hold it tight... Til it burns your hand. And you say this -- no one else will ever have to live like this. No one else will ever have to feel this pain. Not on my watch.
@@WexMajor82 I would actually think that that is the point. The Doctor who said "No More" was the War Doctor; the one who did those "worse things than you could ever imagine." This speech is the Doctor moving on and letting go of that part of himself.
David Tenant: A broken man (mostly) Matt Smith: Absolute madlad Peter "Speech Machine" Capaldi: a wise old teacher. This might because I never watched classic who but to me 3 of the vest doctors came right after on other and they all rocked it.
Thanks for putting in David Bradley’s speech, I realise it’s not the most passionate speech but I love it because it takes that tired old question of “why do bad things happen to good people” and turns it on it’s head.
Personally my favourites are the following: 5:54: I got Clever 7:20: Pandorica Speech 8:23: Final moments 12:07: Reminds me of Taken 12:29: Winning Out of all the speeches however I feel that the ones given by Matt Smith are much more emotional, maybe it's the music but I always feel a surge of emotions everytime he gives a speech, especially during the final speech I literally bawled my eyes out. EDIT: I just realized, the song that goes on in the background of the 11th's final speech is the same one in the speech to Akhaten: "The Long Song"
I think it’s because his doctor is more concealed than ten or nine were, he often restrains himself when under the surface you can hear his real emotions, so when he does get angry or sorrowful and let it out you FEEL it.
I was about to say this while listening too it. It dies down in volume instead of drowning out the doctor, meaning he has finally accepted his past rather than running from it.
I still get goosebumps, even now, 1-13 years after the speeches... On a side note: DOCTOR WHO CAME BACK IN 2005, WHICH WAS 13 YEARS AGO!!! MAN I FEEL OLD!!!
"I Will not forget one line og this. Not one day. I swear I will allways remember when the Doctor was me." Litterally two seconds later; "Who The Hell are you??"
David Tennant: Because that’s how I see the universe. What is, what was, what could be, and what must not. That’s the burden of the Time Lord Donna. Or something like that.
I love the final line of Peter Capaldi’s regeneration speech. Just because, in those 5 words, you hear Peter himself. And it’s absolutely beautiful. His entire life he wanted that role, and there he is fully satisfied that he’s had his fun and ready to move on. Just…beautiful.
Thank you , Thank you for creating this compilation of speeches from the Doctors.....Simply amazing and so many of these speeches can be used as tools of healing in this world of cataclysmic disorder and disconnect....Thank you Doctor
Great choice of speeches....and THANK YOU thank you THANK YOU!!! for the edit of the 12th Doctors final words. It was right on the mark expect for the awful bit about children knowing his name; that and coupled with his 'faint' just made the whole bit cheesy. Thanks to your edit now it sounds perfect!!
Certainly the most badass. I have to say, my personal favorite is the single look that Capaldi gives to the camera at the end of deep breath, when he may or may not have killed the robot on the S.S. Marie Antoinette. I also love the "Threatening Button" speech from Tennant, and the "run for your life" line from Eccleston. Ok screw it I just love introduction episodes!

Smith and Capaldi had the best speeches
Truly.
Ten had the best Arguments.
Eleven had the best Speeches.
Twelve had the best Lectures.
Matt's regeneration speech, and Capaldi's war speech are probably the two most realistic speeches.
A speech isn't measured in value by how realistic it is...
Matts I guess pre regeneration speech is basically trying to reach the minimum word count when saying “Fuck you I make the rules”
Ian May no but you take them to heart more, 12 was especially good at that.
