Therefore they will do it too, as it's actually designed to rip off the consumer and maximise the chance of that customer spending more money down the line when they need ANOTHER new phone and cannot repair the current one.
That is why so many fought against apple doing it, because they knew others would follow suit and the consumer ultimately loses.

Marcin, not really accurate... doesnt have to be 2 years old. iPhone 7 with an update to iOS 11 slowed things down too. Benchmarks show that the iPhone 6 is majorly effected with the Spectre and Meltdown patch (11.2.5). Apples reason for this is to 'preserve battery life.'

I have been preaching this for years and years. I ask a person why they want a new iPhone and they almost always say "Its faster!" And I ask "at what exactly? Do you text faster? Do you talk faster on the phone? Do you run complex software and mine bitcoins all day?" The answer is always no. Unless your docking your phone and turning it into a desktop why would you need your CPU to be faster? Need more storage? For what you pay, you could save and buy years of cloud storage for fractions and keep your current phone. Better camera? If your that into photography and make a living then wouldn't you have a professional camera? Because if you you can do it on your phone easy, so can anyone so your not special. But no, go ahead and buy a $1000 with no charger or audio jack. Ill spend it on a good motorcycle helmet that actually is useful to save my life. 🤣

Your points are all valid, but if a person has enough money that they can buy an iPhone, or they got a great deal on one, why can’t they buy it? Just because it isn’t that much more useful, doesn’t mean that people don’t want it. Why do people buy figurines, or stuffed animals, or junk food? Because they make you happy. @clint cole a good motorcycle helmet is for impacts not so much if you get clothes lined by something. Lol. 😅 but they can be the difference between walking away or body bag. Many slow speed motorcycle wrecks can tear flesh easy or cause a TBI. A good helmet and jacket and leave you walking away with some sore bits. A loose rubber tread to the face for instance without a helmet can mess you up, but a full face helmet can make it a slap in the face you can ride away from. Heck, a huge Texas grass hopper to the face at 60mph can cause a wreck. With a helmet, a greasy mess on your visor but you can survive that unscathed. Stupid grass hoppers. 🤣
There are leaders to check these people but they're secretly one. Sometimes the phone doesn't need to be old, they intentionally sell defective phones to make you spend more on their products. Update is the key. My pixel 2xl screen started flickering and I just saw a message saying update your phone to make it stable. Seriously ( phones have been around for so many years, are manufacturers saying it's impossible to make phones run for even 10years once their batteries are still good?)

They might want to change that to "spam numbers you don't know." I'll always answer a call from my contacts unless I'm driving, or with a client.
Please speak for yourself. I always answer my calls, unless I'm too busy or just don't wanna talk. Just like I did with the landline and the dumbphone.
Also, calling when you can text is f-ing selfish. People don't just sit there waiting for your call, they have stuff to do. Respect people by letting them answer when they can and use calling only for stuff that can't wait.

We have to “troubleshoot” the phone issues knowing what’s ACTUALLY going on. Yes they will (you can google it too) & have sent out “updates” to your phone for “bug fixes”. Another company that rhymes with “ransom”(double entendre) does the EXACT process in a sicker way with cheaper parts but charges way more. I should make a Reddit post tbh. I’ve said to much here. ✌️

If terms and conditions were honest
You don't have to read them.
At least in California, I believe there has been precedents regarding the absurdity of having to read every single one, so if a company tries to sue you for not following the terms and conditions, you can contest it. Like the South Park episode, HumancentiPad, a company can't put something out of the ordinary and then seek legal action.

I remember reading the PlayStation Network user agreement. It took so long I was auto logged out before I even finished! There was a bunch of stuff in there I didn't agree with, but in short: "Breaking any of these rules will result in service termination, refusal to agree to these terms will result in service termination." So there is really no reason not to agree, as breaking the agreement and not agreeing to the agreement have the same result.

as soon my phone was paid, after two years. they texted me saying "hey how would you like having a new phone" and im like dude wtf i just paid for a phone. im not dumb to buy a phone every time it comes out.
I had the same experience. I've had my phone for four years and my laptop for six. The company will not stop sending me spam about it. I wouldn't have ever gotten a Smartphone except they literally made my flip phone unusable in the coverage area.

This is too funny. I always notice that at about 2 years of having a phone, I start getting notifications for the software updates. As soon as I am eventually forced to install them, the phone doesn't work correctly anymore. Also, the battery won't charge anymore or dies extremely fast. It's like the phone self destructs.

I prefer middle range phones, I don't wanna spend literally half my paycheck on a fragile piece of equipment that'll be obsolete in a year or two. I do treat myself when buying food though, and on the occasions I buy beer or cider (not often) I let taste, not price decide what I buy.

Genca Genadijev i never used a dongle to charge my iPhones. In fact I can charge my iPhone with my MBP Adapter in only 30min from 0% to 100%.
And I didn’t use wired mobile headphones since at least 7 years now (way before it was removed). So I don’t know the Problem you try to create. And since the AirPods exists there is no reason at all to use wires. They are far superior to most cheap wired ones and espacially superior to Galaxy buds. And before you come up with „bad audio taste“ I use a Sennheiser HD660S normally when using headphones and sure there is a huge difference but listing to music on the go and enjoying music relaxed at home is the same difference and no mobile device can replace a proper DAC and AMP.
So can you please make the issue clear you see there? Or and for the typical backfire: How’s your update going? Or your data privacy? Or a virus / malware free store? Or even a smartphone UI without ads?
