Cool to see our little hometown spot getting some hype.
As it should. It's a great trail network. I didn't even see the jump line either! I'm itching to get back
@@inbermswetrust Newest addition.. Small but we're very grateful for it. Thanks! See you out there man
dude it’s so crazy that we have the exact same setup. nice riding man👍
*i have a b8.5 s4 with my cannondale lefty strapped to the back also lol
Nice! Such a great car, by far the most reliable VW I've owned so far!
Thanks for the long form trail rides. Been looking at checking this place out since I’m originally from Orlando and Mt. Dora isn’t too far from there, relatively speaking. Gravity Destroyer looks awesome!
Thanks! It's over 2hrs for me (Tampa Bay) but worth the drive. Probably the longest descent in the state and the climbs back up are pretty mellow. I would say do Helter Skelter at least once, it's brutal and awesome.
Florida is alright if you are in REEEEEEELY good physical condition. The Drunken Monkey is a perfect example.
You're right! (I edit many breaks out). Unfortunately, it still doesn't translate to actual mountain riding. I get gassed after 2 mins of slow grade climbing, and 2 mins of steep downhill. Here's me realizing that ua-cam.com/video/YLUpz1ZdwAg/v-deo.html
@@inbermswetrust You were in foraging country up there! Perfect place for top dollar gourmet fungus. I'd probably be walking up half of those hills especially after low altitude air and minimal elevation changes down here.
My issue is I really enjoy velocity, but I have trouble keeping it up in Florida.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that gets winded at that place. Gravity Destroyer is prolly my favorite trail in Florida (at least within a 2 hour drive).
It's just over 2hrs for me, well worth the trip. The whole system is a blast to ride. I didn't even know there was a jump line, so I definitely have to go back.
You used the exact same method for the skinnies as me, try three times and say f-it and continue on!
It's the turn ,then the slightest uphill to lose whatever speed you had. Skinnies are such a borrowed skill.
Great video, thanks!!!!
You're welcome! Bigger Thank you for watching!
How fast did you get up to ripping down by the power lines?
I think I made it past light speed, but not quite to ludicrous speed, I could almost see plaid. My guess would be around 25 maybe 30 mph?
Are you rocking a chin, Mount or a chest mount on your go pro ?
It's a chin mount, with the J hook clip to get the camera a little lower. I couldn't wear a chest mount in this heat, plus it makes hypersmooth work so much harder.
I used to live in Florida and was into cycling, though I didnt discover mountain biking back then (2006-2008). I lived in Eustis from 2006- late 2007, then to Tallahassee for the remainder of my stint there. I worked at a Wal Mart in Mount Dora for 3 months. Off of Highway 441. Central FL was okay, but if I discovered this trail down there back then! Wow I might have stayed!!! LOL I live in Detroit Michigan and our local trails are very flat. If you could tell me where this trail is, I'd probably still know how to get there.
I agree, I didn't hear of mountain bike trails until around 2016. Had I known I probably would have quit smoking earlier and got more into this. Mt Dora is wild, being from the coast, 100ft of elevation is plenty for me
Where is this??
Mt Dora is near Orlando.
