Captain Eric Brown was a fighter pilot during the Battle of Britain and he later survived the sinking of the escort carrier HMS Audacity. His piloting skills led to his career as a test pilot in which he flew almost 500 different aircraft including the Me 262 ( which he rated as excellent). He flew a helicopter after reading a manual and taking a stiff drink, made 2,407 carrier landings and survived 11 plane crashes. He was the only non - German to fly the Me 163 and was aware of it's record when he did so. Highly volatile is how he described it.
the only mistake that you made with this magnificently built museum piece is failing to clothe the mechanic in black coveralls. the famous luftwaffe 'black men' were all the ground crew (mechanics, fitters, etc) in that airforce, from 1933 to 1945. you can still remedy this by simply painting the figure's clothes flat black. otherwise, the model is 100% museum quality. you are a master.
