Excellent fishing. Power BFS works.
I love this style of fishing. I need to do it more, ya?
I just got the Cashion ultralight 6'8 from TW. Looking forward to trying it out. They make these rods about an hour from me.
I wish it wasn't TW exclusive :(
@@rawrfishing why does that bother you? Just curious. Took the rod out to the neighborhood pond and it handled a 1/16 jig with small swim bait well. Casting about 65 feet on average. I'll get more out of I'm sure once I get used to the rod/reel. Micro guides are my only complaint, I'm running a 9 inch leader only.
TW are competitors with retailers I work with. So you won't see me using one
Respect!
Gotta make my supporters happy :) I hope after icast, that would change. Perhaps tw only had launch exclusive? Who knows
That bellows craw is nice
I love em. Smells great
Like corn chips
Old 18 rods in Texas makes some nice BFS rods as well.
Old 18 is interesting. They keep messaging me asking which rod I want to play with, but they always go dark shortly after lol. I guess i should reconnect with em
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
@@beavisbrowne3497 this style of fishing is fun
I used these, put it on an owner 3/0 hook with spring keeper, no weight. It flutters down like a senko and it catches
They can for sure. Weight is for further and accurate casting. Light weight to keep to falling from too fast!
I noticed on the back of that varivas tg slim sinker, there’s a fish symbol with “ECD”. What does it mean and stand for? I’ve noticed it on all JDM tackle like Keitech tackle and baits too.
I am not sure.. hmm.. i can ask a few folks :)
What's the difference between this and a Tokyo rig?
@@repairdrive Tokyo rig can be turned into a power shot rig or jika rig.
Tokyo rig is a variation of the Jika rig, but can also be used as power shot rig with the longer wire. Or trim to be jika
What action is that rod?
that is the Jackson Blast Beats ML power rod rated 1/8th to 1/2 oz! It got a Extra Fast Tip action. The so-called finesse. I have heard under the radar that there might be a few more left that would come in. like final last batch!
@@rawrfishing okay, cool thank you for replying. Keep up the good work ❤️
Thx, I will be exploring new rods soon
iCast is just around the corner. I hope the bigger brands comes out with budget L and ML BFS rods in the 7' to 7'3" range. But I have my doubts. Shame they all want to innovate but unwilling to take risk making BFS rods.
yes sir! I will see whats around. Just nabbed a Lews ML rod off Amazon Vine lol. It's free its me! yay!
I actually just got ugly elite graphite rod in the mail today. It's a 7' ultralight casting rod rated to cast 1/32 - 1/4oz. It's a little nicer than the g2x series rods and it balances well with my zephyr. I was able to easily cast a 1/32oz about 40' more or less and I'm still getting the hang of bfs. I could even cast a trout magnet with the tiny crawfish soft plastic about 20 or so feet and accurately. I was using 2lb mono too until I get some fancy braid. I like it a lot so far! It's only 60 bucks at Scheels with free shipping over $75 :D
they make graphite rods? lol... how durable are they compare to their bread and butter stuff?
@@rawrfishing it still has the fiberglass tip so i'm guessing really durable, but it's supposed to have 35% more graphite than the g2x. It's not super noodly but still loads really easily. I like it but I'm also a big fan of glass rods.
Sounds interesting.. I may stop by if they got a booth at icast so I can see if they will have any rods I can use!
I had to subscribe thanks for the help but man your videos got me buying shit tho lol 😂
lol... glad my videos are able to help ya. I tend to get wives mad as their hubbies all end up buying fishing stuff lol.
I have both, I much prefer Dobyns rods
Dobyns micro guides makes me no likey! :( Not a fan of micro guides for BFS. i guess i can go straight fluorocarbon since bass anglers would do so.
@@rawrfishing True, that is the one thing I do not care for either. The Cashion rods feel too bulky in the grip for me.
I might just look at Daiwa or Shimano lol
