    To make the silicon hold better try using a low grade sandpaper to rough the edges to help give the polymer more grip 🖒love the enclosure vids keep it up

    I do a lot of DIY stuff myself and I'm pretty confident that a jigsaw would just tear that lid to shreds. I'd say the snap blade is a better option but maybe use it against a ruler to keep it straight. You could also potentially heat the blade a bit with a lighter to help get through the awkward edge parts. Hope this helps :D

      Try a high precision thin sheet metal cutting blade with fine teeth. That's what I use. It doesn't shred the plastic.

    Hello and a great "thanks" to you.
    I've had really bad depression my whole life and always feel kinda empty. I dont even very into that hobby (My father once had an very huge collection, but I cant remember very well. Thats maybe 10 or 15 years ago.) But when I watch your videos I really enjoy it. I dont even know why, maybe because you have a lot of charisma, or something else in that way. Anyway, a huge thanks to you for making these videos. Everyone of them let me smile, and I just want to say thanks to you.
    Perhaps, one day I will start my own collection.
    Have a great day.
    (Sorry if there are any mistakes in my text, English is not my main language. )

    good video! good idea for an enclosure. You can use a soldering iron to "weld" plastic together at the seams. we also do that to our enclosures when we crack them accidently, or cut not so straight :)

    She's so beautiful 😍 aaaaagh I really want a tarantula, and I've already decided what species I want too but last time I checked Spiders World (?) they didn't have any grammostola pulchras... And I would most likely have to wait until next spring anyway because it's already gotten quite cold in Finland. I really want "the black lab of tarantulas" because I really love the pitch black coloration and many recommend them as a beginner species due to their usually calm nature.

    Hi,
    that's a very cool idea, but I would be really careful about the tape espacially on the inside. This tape is not designed to hold forever and because of the humidity on the inside of the enclosure it will probably come off even faster. I only know it from snakes that you do not use it, because snakes can not free themselves of the tape, but I do not know if taratulas are able to.

    • @OfficialMuffiin
      @OfficialMuffiin 7 років тому +2

      Jey Jey yeah Tarantulas can get stuck on tape too, its better to just use hinges.
