I just saw them perform this at a concert. During the bridge Tim asked who felt fear, anxiety and worry for the future. Many hands went up. He said, "I ask this question every time we perform this song, and every night many people raise their hands. Know that you're not alone."
We need a critical mass that's not afraid to act. I feel we're getting there as more people begin to realize the constraints of the system they live under and how much it affects their lives. I'm just a tad bit worried that peaceful protest isn't going to catalyse the change we want and at some point violence is going to be neccesary to be heard.
My son and I were fortunate enough to meet the band at Carolina Rebellion in 2013. Tim, Brandon, Joe, and Zach took the time to talk to us, and signed my "Endgame" CD, and my son's album. They were down-to-earth, and very genuine. It rained the show out later that afternoon, but they still made an impact on my boy and me by how they interacted with their fans. It's unreal how consistently and perfectly he makes his voice sound like that. There are dynamics, and it doesn't feel like you're being shouted AT, yet it paradoxically sounds like a passionate shout the entire time. A just voice anarchy, Rise never has changed. Not a single one of their songs have been bad. Incredible through and through and the most relatable message to the majority of the human race. The greatest band in history, hands down. This isn't music. This is the voice of the people.
Rise Against always manages to make my day better. Thanks again, guys
God it makes me fucking happy to know these guys still are doing their thing. Will be a sad day when we gotta say goodbye to the band. Like everything we've known.
This is so good! I have this and Whispering Wolf by SLT on repeat all day :) !!!
Who else feels like this song arrived at the moment when you need it the most?
If you are reading this...we are gonna get through this, somehow.
YESSS AGREED
There will be a time to crack another smile
Maybe not today or for awhile
But we're holding on to laugh again someday…
YES YES YES 🖤
Hell yes ❤️❤️❤️
I'm a teacher who grew up with listening to RA. This seriously hit home as I struggle to meet unrealistic expectations as parents get upset with me over things I cannot control.
....wow.. I'm in love with that song already ...
Thanks for being that one never dying voice of my generation Tim !
I can't wait to see them live again!
Oct 14th in Denver!! I can't wait either
Tim, I just want you to know that I’m a young musician, who is just starting to write songs, and you are the reason any of it is possible!!! Thanks!!!
Same here!! Good luck on the songwriting!
@@carveapath1350 good luck to you
@@backpainsandagony He's obviously the inspiration and the reason they started to make music. I can't tell if this is supposed to be rude or not
@@backpainsandagony no 🤦♂️ his songs taught me the structure on how to write great lyrics!!!

I absolutely love this song I’ve generally listened to it a ton since it’s come out. Can’t wait for the full album, I ’m so glad they’ve never disappointed me with any of their songs/album’s. That’s why rise against will always be my favourite band they continue to make astonishingly great music time and time again.
I never comment. And I rarely ever love a song from the first listen. But this one has been on repeat my entire workday. ♡
Suddenly I have a reason to look forward to summer. Thanks, guys!

Maybe it’s the PS5-hunting skills talking, but I’ve never pre-ordered an album this fast in my life. Between this, Broken Dreams Inc., and the prospect that this is going to be a “Dynamic” album from the press release that dropped this afternoon, I am absolutely stoked to hear this next record for the first time.
Let’s go!!!!!
Wait, there’s a new album coming out? Where can you preorder it at?
@@ShmeatPacker Check out the link in the description after the "PRE-SAVE NOW" text, there you can pre-order this album.
I think Bandcamp is always a great choice, since bands get a much higher profit compared to buying iTunes or CDs :)
I'm 60 some years old and have lots of their songs on my ipod, never heard this one, just added it! :-)
Great band always been a fan
So many memories
Yeah, the nowhere generation.
Not here, not there, just everywhere.
Coming home to some nice music is always lovely
the band that saved my life a couple of times and the band that made me a musician today
"And for your sweat you'll be rewarded
They told us every day
There's a land of milk and honey
And it's not that far away
But the finish line kept movin'
And the promises wore thin
And the smoke on the horizon
Was the burning promised land
And this place used to be somewhere
But they sold it out from under us
Our voices all ignored"
Love this band so much. 🤘
It has been a long time since I listened to Rise Against but man... These guys just know how to pump out a good song. Feels like I'm taken back to my younger years :') Excited to hear this album!
To anyone struggling in these hard times, just remember that things do get better.
You can't promise that.
Hope you guys keep singing forever!!!!!
