1 thing I've always respected about you is that you try to be accurate when guessing a fish's weight. You don't over exaggerate or anything. Everything about this channel is realistic and that's why every video is worth watching. It's great to have a channel dedicated to what normal people have to deal with when it comes to fishing.
I saw some litter on the bank yesterday and thought what would Alex do? So i picked it up cursed under my brearh at who ever left it and brought it to the trash. Keep it Realistic and keep it clean!
Made a comment yesterday on that app fishbrain about the lack of respect in the public fishing waters with trash and I got attacked from every angle.. ignorant people everywhere nowadays
@@tayloralexis1504 Holy cow. I did the same! Picked up some old line and Doritos bags at a local spot last week. Commented and got a bunch of grief. C'mon people!!!
@@AggroKragg I also commented on the fact I found 3 rather large bass on the bank dead with lines still attached to each of them.. disgusting people everywhere!! Anyway after that comment I was called a tree hugging environmentalist and a troll, all kinds of names.. society has really taken a turn for the worse.
The good old Roboworm, one of the most underrated fishing lures. I use them on every rig and even saltwater with great results, thanks for sharing my fellow angler friend.
Yesterday I was invited to join a friend for some fishing but had no gear a quick pit stop later and voila all set up for cheap. First cast fish on,small tiny bluegill I had just arrived had to spool the line and everything it was so much fun. I use #2/0 gamitgatsu and I found an egg shell 1/8oz weight rigged Texas style to work best for myself. I’m throwing in weeds and grasses with no real snags to speak of. Good times thanks Alex.
I learned the drop shot from your videos last year, and it has become a favourite rig for my boys and me. I find that a size 4 circle hook is just about perfect for catching whatever happens to be biting.
I've been using a Baby Carolina rig lately (bullet weight pegged on both sides with some bobber stops, about 8-10 inches above a Texas rigged bait) and using a floating worm with it. Its really the only thing I can get a bite on right now.
Great video Alex!! I never have luck on a drop shot, but your videos keep me trying!! You caught 2 nice bass!! Thank you for always keeping it realistic Alex 🙂!!
Good video ! I always like the fact that your explanation of the rig you will be using is good advice for a lot of anglers, especially me. Thanks ! KIR ! Randy B.
Once again you prove that you don’t have to spend a lot on gear to go out and have fun catching fish instead of showing off … Rock on Alex ! Keep it realistic
Was using the drop shot on the $10 rod from Walmart and caught 2 big cats from my local pond one was a 2lb4oz, the second one almost broke the rod in half it was a 4lb15oz,
Nice fish! I need to get back on the hunt for bass. The last few times I went fishing I was trying for bluegills. I do enjoy catching bluegills but a nice chunky bass would definitely be great to catch. As always great video.
I’m really hoping the weather is going to cool off some. My weather app. Is saying this week is only going to be in the 80’s. But my mind keeps saying it’s August so the heat isn’t over yet. That was a very nice bass by the dock. Great video Alex.
As soon as I saw that tree down I knew you were going to attempt to walk on it 😂. Cool to see the 10 combo make another appearance. Great job as always!
Sup Alex. As you may know by now. My go to is a drop shot, and in certain ponds a realistic rig. I leave 18" -30" between hook and weight. 1 pond clear bottom I rig the realistic rig 12-15".. Awesome video. Amazing how tree split right into water with no beaver help, will be good cover, we removed one from water but we can only access about 350yds from shore on 3 acre pond. Some nice bass👊. Tyvm
Hey Alex, 2 is better than zero. Awesome catches. I've never tried the drop shot. I think I will this evening or tomorrow morning. Have a good weekend.
Drop shot, Texas rig, and Carolina rig are my go to’s for bass. Sometimes I’ll do a bobber and free float a worm a 18”. Just depends on what mood me or the bass are in 😉
Awesome video and glad you keep it realistic. Breath of fresh air for sure. Just bought the booyah baby boo jig from wal mart and fish are liking it. For as slow as these summer bass are they crank up good in the evenings. Tight lines catch a big one
Wow I never knew you could use Drop shots to catch bass with artificial baits... I always saw you use the gulp minnows but I guess you can use a artificial worm. When I get back into Chicago I'm going to be doing budget fishing and this is definitely going to be one of my new pickups. This is what I love about your channel you show us cheap alternatives so we don't have to spend a fortune fishing!
Good ol drop shot. Everyone says the drop shot is the go to for a tough bite. Glad you were able to find a few. Really nice one on the robo. And now with the tree down, you got an extra place to stand, let's see that realistic balance lol. KIR
Fishing for an hour and catching 2 fish...... I'd take that everyday. Normally I'm fishing for 2 or 3 hors and maybe catching 2..... Thanks for the drop shot on the $10 COMBO VIDEO..... KiR!!!
Nice fish, especially that first one! I've had some success with the drop shot this Summer too. Do you ever use Circle Hooks (nose hooked exposed) with the drop shot? When the line takes off the fish usually hooks itself in the corner of the mouth. Caught a nice 2 lb Largemouth recently that way.
Fishing is always slow and tedious got me, I usually never catch a bite. I hope I can aim to get better at where the bass are even located and such, the only ever confidence spot I can find bass is at the dam where I fish for catfish, usually I get something on a spoon or lipless crankbait. Here's hoping I can get some largemouths at ponds and such.
I almost caught a 3 ft alligator gar today at the river, scared the crap out of me lol I've never hooked one before or even seen one up close. I thought it was a huge catfish when I seen it's shadow under the water then as I was reeling it in it looked straight at me and spit the hook out. I thought it was turtles eating my bait but now I think it was that thing.
How is it possible to pull a drop shot rig out of a fishes mouth and the line wrap around the tip of my pole 10 times and tie 4 square knots in under a second 😂. Ever done that lol.

Depends what part of the country. Here the Roboworm( name brand) is practically unknown. You cant find it in any store here.
They like those extreme X slug looking things too
Love the sound of that drag 😌 😍

I love drop shotting especially in cold weather

It's these kinds of videos that keeps me trying new and hard techniques. Still working on the drop shot for bass.
Nice chunk on that drop shot Roboworm. I should to try that more, but I definitely need to have more patience.
love the fact you use everyday setups to catch some decent Bass
Oh! Yeah! A drop shot video! 🎣
I love using the drop shot and it usually works well. Lately though, it has been slow. Thanks for the encouragement to keep at it
Great job. Good to see the drop shot working in these tougher conditions…
I lucked up and found an Abu Garcia vengeance baitcast combo at my local Walmart for 37 dollars. That was steal!
Thats a good deal 👍
Another great videos Alex thanks again for the entertainment my friend!!!!!!!
That's a really good size bass for a drop shot! Nice job!
Nicely done and nice catches! First bass was a chunker ! Sweet

Like the summer time videos. Keeping it Realistic!

Using splitshot as a dropshot weight is a great idea! Everyone's dad has an old container of dropshot in his tackle box lol
I love when any tree falls in the water. It is a fish attractor. LOL 🎣🚣♀️🤠👵😉
Soon to be! 🥉
Great fishing with a drop shot. KIR!
Chunky Bass was very cool to see on the drop shot, Very Nice, Thank You, Realistic Fishing 🎣 it was awesome 😎

Love my ten dollar combo.catching fish
As soon as I saw that tree down I knew you were going to attempt to walk on it 😂. Cool to see the 10 combo make another appearance. Great job as always!
Over 40 but still feel like 39 😅

Haven’t watched you in several years, glad to see that you’re doing good and still keeping it realistic👍👍
Still at it!

18 inch worm?
Most people say anything over 12 in is restrictive.
@@RealisticFishing 18” deep
Nice bass Alex. Thumbs up video.
@realistic man I catch so many more bass since I started watching you! Thinks for all the insight!
You got the Bass jumping on command 🤣
😅
I always catch more snags than fish on a drop shot. Thanks again Alex!
That open hook!

WHoop!
I love how you prove trip after trip you don't have to spend a lot of money to catch nice Bass!!
Too many people out there are being suckered into spending before learning.
Fishing for an hour and catching 2 fish...... I'd take that everyday. Normally I'm fishing for 2 or 3 hors and maybe catching 2..... Thanks for the drop shot on the $10 COMBO VIDEO..... KiR!!!
Mixing it up and KIR 👍
👍
That was awesome, thanks for the drop shot vid. I love to drop shot all day bro 👍🏽
It makes more sense to use spitshots if you get hung up they slide off easier. Also they are cheaper than dedicated drop shot weights.

If I have some circles handy, I will. But I dont go out of my way to get them
Been fishing for about a year, drop shot is my key tactic
I caught a 6er on the 110 whopper plopper a Lil earlier today.. 6 incher that is..
Jumbo!
@@RealisticFishing LOL poor Lil guy was only 2" longer than the bait no way it could have ate it but he got 1 back hook at least 😅
Might have been an 8th pounder on a good day. No lettuce tomatoes cheese, not even a splash of ketchup.
And just so u know people look at you strange while your fishing with a blue Mohawk. Weirdos!!
Nice bass.
OK Alex lets do a beer drinking fishing video LOL
🍺
Have been addicted to the drop shot lately. I would suggest one of your go to baits. The gulp minnow on a drop shot has been my go to
I have been suggesting gulp minnow on a drop shot for 4 years 😅
@@RealisticFishing can’t beat it. Found the 2.3-3in work well on size 1 drop shot hook for smallies in the lake I fish up here in Michigan.
Nice catches. I'd be satisfied with two fish an hour in this terrible heat.
You and me both!

Perfect eating good job
Alex, have you ever wacky-rigged a worm using a drop shot?
Hmmm, maybe. Sounds like it would work just fine
👍🎣 Dropshot bass. KIR Alex

Nice fish. Too bad you weren't around to see if the tree made a sound.
I assume it did not
I’ve tried Ned rig , shaky head , drop shot, and always have better luck with the tried and true Texas rig
I’ve been subscribed since 2019, and I can’t believe your almost at 100k. Congratulations Alex! BTW will Bro Manson finally get sponsors at 100k😆?
He might, I wont. 😎
I need to do better with the roboworm
Would that fish have been 4lbs if you used a $100 combo? Asking for a friend :) Great video as always man
YES! It would have been the biggest fish in the lake
How is it possible to pull a drop shot rig out of a fishes mouth and the line wrap around the tip of my pole 10 times and tie 4 square knots in under a second 😂. Ever done that lol.
Thats the magic of a drop shot 😅
How many times do you say just one more just one more just one more like I do LOL thanks for your time
Drop like it’s hot
Orange $10.00 combo, makes sense you’re in Tennessee. 🤣 Just kidding, nice fish.
Still got that $300 in my pocket that other guy already spent.
Exactly!!
Are those the ones at Walmart that are in so many colors ten dollars each
Yes
Can you make a pike video
Nope, no pike here
Come up to Michigan and we'll catch some pike for sure!!
0:06 I want some real f**king advice!
