But think about it... if you consider what there is to come: Jon's lineage meaning nothing, Winter being a joke, Jaime's entire story arc being shat upon... It might not be obvious at first viewing, but those 2 episodes are only padding, trumping cheap sentimentality and supposed fan-service over substantial, meaningful storytelling; they just reiterate shit you know while nothing happens. So I partially agree with you, but I'd go the extra mile and say S8 is hot garbage in its entirety from a storytelling point of view.

Better yet, you could even make a thing out of reacting to honest trailers & pitch meetings for the same movie in the same video. If you're looking for another show to watch, could try Battlestar Galactica. Multi-season arc's. It has some bonehead moments, but there's a fair bit of good stuff in it too.
The concluding episodes of Battlestar Galactica (reboot series) could have just about the same level of 'fail' that this Pitch Meeting showcased for GOT. To contrast such tragic failures, I'd offer up 'Farscape' as a show that actually managed to wrap up in a good place, unlike GOT or BSG. That or Babylon 5.

But, as a whole, it's the best sci-fi series ever, IMHO (alongside the Expanse). BSG, on the other hand, is a bit like Lost - quite entertaining, visually intriguing and all-around pretty good, but with the glaring weakness of its authors not really having an actual plan (hinted pun intended) and not knowing how to actually develop and finish the story.
i honestly like the small council in the end. Sam is a good maester, Davos as ex-pirat is perfect as the master of ships, bronn knows a lot about manipulating people for giving him more money and tyrion is a good hand during peacetime
Even though season 8 was garbage, there were some good moments, good imagery, etc. It just didn’t tie in together and was rushed as hell. But that was a good scene and I liked how all the characters came together in that scene.
They all have genuine courage and integrity - even Bronn in his own way; when you buy him, you get what you pay for - and judging from their first meeting, they seem as though they should be effective at rebuilding the realms, and they'll need to be; their King spends most of his time hallucinating, and can't have heirs.
Why didn't they just put Euron on the island, at least then it would make sense that he was hiding in some trees when he shot the dragon. Like, if Dany were specifically searching the ocean for his ships, and didn't see them, it would make sense that she'd assume the coast was clear (wow, I was finally able to use that phrase literally) and then the surprise attack would be logical. Also, Drogon should have tried to burn John but he doesn't burn and the throne melts incidentally, as like a by product of the main scene.... Just... Fuck. How did they get it so wrong?
I didn't read the books but I've read a lot of books and the books are always soooo much more fleshed out than movies...so I'm sure its worth reading the books

The books are 100 times better and there was so many characters that never made into screen. even i dislike season 8 and the end of the dead king, i have to say i am REALLY happy that jamie did not kill his sister that would be out of character ... he tried to kill a child for her, he murdered children to get back to her ... he is so into her that nothing in the end can overcome that ever and thats what he realised sleeping with brianne, that he only ever can love his sister ... also i never understood that people got mad of daenerys going madshit crazy and killing civilians ... she put people on the cross who did basicly nothing just for who they were, she burned people just for them not kneeing to her ... shes batshit crazy since the fucking first episode xD people just choosed to ignore all the bad shit she did xD also having jon go to the north was the only ending i ever saw coming for seasons i mean its the only place where he ever was happy xD and bran as king also makes sense so ... for me the season was mainly shit because 1. people suddently had plotarmor i wanted more main characters die in the figh and 2. the fight was the worst episode of all of GOT it was dark as SHIT and the ending was anticlimatic xD
The show has spend 7 seasons showing us getting over his sister. It would have been very in character. Him getting back to her was out of character at this point.
