I am sorry for being late. does it mean the person is already late that is why he is saying sorry for it? or he says that he is not late but he is sorry for a process of being late?? there could be another meaning of this sentence is that He is trying to be late?? what is the difference between He is sorry for late or he is sorry for being late? thanks
