Thanks for all the tips! I save all the silica packets from vitamins and other products and put handfuls of them in my boots and gear bin.

Going to miss the Tribute! Enjoy the time off. Yesterday 4/20 prob was my last day of this season sadly, but it was a good season. Now the board/gear storage ritual begins.

Always good! My boards (w/o bindings) get stacked horizontally on a wall shelf for the summer with wooden shims between each deck to prevent flattening and retain the profiles. Not sure if it's necessary, but it's cheap, easy, and looks cool. 🤙

Interesting you guys recommend scraping the wax off edges to prevent rust- I make sure to cover the edges and leave it for the same reason. But You can always give the edges a wipe a cloth damp with something that displaces water, like rubbing alcohol, to remove any moisture before sealing it away. Worst case, if you do seal moisture in at that point, it's atmospheric moisture, and won't be worse than the board being exposed to the air. Either way, I always find it funny when people argue against storage wax. At worst, it's doing half of your pre-season wax & tune before you put the board away, and finishing it in the winter.
About folding gore-tex to avoid the thin hangars- don't. Either roll it without folding in half first, or scrunch it away. When you fold things, people tend to fold them the same way each time, eventually creating a permanent line of deformation. You may not even own the jacket long enough to ever see this, but this is the reason it's actually recommended to just stuff sleeping bags into their case rather than folding & rolling.
Last thing I'd add is storing boots upside down or covered- or at least on their side. Mostly for dry areas, but when stuff sits, it collects dust. It's nice to not grab your boots in the spring, to have your liners and stuff with a thin layer of dust on them- even if it's not very visible or easily noticeable. Especially considering what dust is made of, I'd rather not make a fun soup in my boots the first time I sweat next season. Maybe paranoia, but it's not like prevention costs any money or extra effort.

I've also left the wax on to prevent moisture getting on them. It's always humid here out east and I think it's better.

Someone told me some rental shops store their boards in a SAUNA over the summer so the wax just fully permeates the bases throughout storage, then only need like 3 waxes over the course of a winter. That’d be interesting to try if possible.

Thank for a great season of reviews/ presentations. How would you compare Capita megadeath with Jones stratos? If you can point out the dampness/less chattery, carving. Thank you so much.

If we looking at Carving specifically - then Go Jones Stratos , the sidecut is amazing and that board will still crossover into freeride perfectly! its a top five for us!

What are your thoughts on board storage: vertical vs. flat? My boards are camber and I used to lay them horizontal on a rack with support in the middle.
