Listening to survivors of church sexual abuse

Dr Rocio Figueroa Alvear (Good Shepherd Theological College, Auckland) talks about her investigation and research, in conjunction with the Centre for Theology and Public Issues, with male survivors of sexual abuse linked to the Sodalitium Christianae Vitae (Sodalicio) religious movement in Lima, Peru. The project investigated the immediate and longer-term impact of the abuse, and examines how it affected the survivors' sense of self and their religious identity.
