What's nice about IndyCar drivers is they are (mostly) not impossibly rich so they don't need to put on the holier than thou measly peasants persona. I like that you can go to the track and the drivers are just around acting like people and not robots. Anyway, I'm glad the vocal minority on twitter don't bother you. Don't ever change!
We certainly would like to be! Hah. I think sometimes there should be more mystique. Maybe a bit less access, like f1 and nascar. But also indycar is unique because of the access so therefore it should probably stay that way? Who knows
@@ConorDaly22I mean if you think about it, NASCAR is authentic, F1 is sexy, and indycar is… accessible? Just know that I and thousands of indycar fans are SCREAMING for better marketing lol

@ConorDaly22 if Indycar wasn't so accessible, my new-ish found love for it wouldn't have flourished like it has. Meeting you and Canapino last year at St Pete was awesome (funny how that really came full circle now). It's cool to meet you guys and have the access, so regular folk can see you guys are just regular people too, doing irregular jobs haha.
As far as the marketing goes, something needs to happen but I'm unqualified to offer help there. The racing product is too good to be this "hidden"

Whoa, we watched the Nascar race and our circle say No penalty for Austin.
Denny and Logano got used up just as they've been doing ... just saying.
One in our group said they watched austins in car camera heard that he was not in the throttle.... you see joey slowed or tried block Austin.... Contact was minimal.
Then austin just trying to keep his car straight ... you see Hamlin came up track ran into Austin.
Austin had the better car, period.
Oh, Its Stenthouse caused that wreck bringing out a caution in front of austin the leader ... we all said "What's up with the Boyer move dude"
That's nascar racing ... we are looking forward to watching the next racing that's on.
haha, i mean hey thats what sport is all about- having your own opinion. I will say though as a driver... and knowing most if not all other drivers reactions. That was in no way an accident haha, To make up that much time on Joey into one corner, Austin has to be braking deeper and later than ever knowing that if he didnt hit Joey he would just miss the corner anyway. It's just racing physics. You dont have to agree with me I'm just trying to tell you real information from someone who knows how this stuff works pretty well! It was desperation wrecking of two different cars. You have to have standards in motor racing. Even nascar has to have standards.

Fantastic show! Your own news is very exciting, and I hope I get to see you on the podium, or at least top ten this week. By the end of the season, maybe you'll have a chance to be your own interviewee. Who knows? 78 isn't a famous number in IndyCar, and it's subsided into obscurity in NASCAR, but Martin Truex Jr. won the Cup championship with it a few years ago. David Malukas is a cute kid, and I wish him - and his thumbs - well. Chase's idea about the Tech Deck bike has potential.

Obviously we want to know your thoughts on the hybrid! ...and since you can apparently set up the controls for it like a dozen different ways, which one works for you.
there has really only been one way to run it on the ovals so far but the road course will be a whole new world for me.

Glad to see you in an Indy car. I used to be a NASCAR fan and went to races for years. But have drifted to Indy Car, IMSA, and F1 the past few years. Just missing real racing on the weekends their is one. So watch the WWE version of autoracing altough I turn if off before the 2 lap stints and will not attend any of those races any more. I know the rules in the other series.

I had a super vivid dream last night after watching 1/2 of this episode. Of all the people who showed up in this dream it was Mr. Conor Daly. Which is hilarious. I got an autograph and we took a selfie. The meet and greet was at a local dive bar outside the track. Awesome vibes. There were also some sumo wrestlers there too 😂. Idk why but it was cool. So thanks for having dedication to the fans both conscious and unconscious. Takes a real one. Most importantly congrats on the ride!!! I’ll have to get that autograph sometime in real life now lol. Hopefully joined by some Juncos Hollinger branded Sumo wrestlers. 🤼
