Exterior trunk release button is located at the inside top of the trunk lid (H)emblem...just touch painted surface...this video shows yellow sticker pointing it out...
i have a 2015 SE,, my biggest issues,, paint and the freaking shifter ,, 2nd engine at 150k due to engine issue dealer warranty , 2nd trans at 235k.. currently 274k... other than the engine issue,, minimal upkeep... fits 4 comfortably, huge trunk... and yes it gets up and goes..
My roommate got so much more for a 2020 Honda Accord base model. All Hyundai should have done was put a push to start on this base model I would have gotten it during this car chip shortage. Oh well.
It has a small digital screen in between the analog gauges. I like a mix of digital and analog. Not everyone wants push to start, some people like key ignition.

I had a Hyundai Sonata rental in 2016 and the inside has not changed much.. it may be different in the other models..

The SEL is only a few thousand more and has so much more content.

2022 Sonata has a fair amount of road noise. Great power. Generally unremarkable. I 2021 Jetta better! When lease is up, no more Hyundai.
