I've owned my 2.0T Q5 for a year now and it has proved to be an exceptional car in the category. I'm an aggressive driver (traded my beloved Porsche Cayman S) who's tracked cars, auto crossed, etc. To date, over 13k miles, I've average 24 mpg and never get left at the traffic light. Not only that, I've had no issues at all with this car except for a recall for the sunroof. I've owned 37 cars including several BMWs and more than a few Mercedes of all types. This one works for me.
I love this guys reviews. My only problem is that he doesn't hardly ever have much to say about anything that he's reviewing. Just seems like a laid back dude you'd have a good time drinking some beers with bs'ing about cars.
It depends on the mileage and how well taken care of the car is. If its under 80k, and doesnt have common issues like carbon buildup, gearbox wear, or broken sunroof I would say this car is worth buying in 2021.
I own the 2011 Audi Q5. It is a exceptional car. The driving dynamics and feel are one of the best. Its also good on gas. German cars are reliably when maintained properly.
Wow...this guy isn't biased at all -.- My mom just got a Q7, and idk what he's talking about with the transmission. That thing hunts for gears like crazy. What I do like is just how stable it is at highway speeds. I took it up to 160km/h, and I had no idea that I was going that fast until the speed warning started going off.
on 1:44 the video shows buttons to control the car settings that appear on the display screen of the car just behind the gear lever but I'm afraid that this does not belong to this particular car because at 1:51 the buttons to control the display screen is just below the radio controls, nevertheless the wood trims shown at these two different times are different.
I agree about the navigation! Car manufacturers trying to charge so much for their navigation systems when every smart phone comes with one is just ridiculous!!
Had a chance to drive a 2012 3.2L V6 today for the entire day. The 2nd most sportiest SUV I've ever driven besides the BMW X6M. Sure, plenty of SUVs are faster in terms of acceleration but this car handles like a larger A4, than an SUV. Plenty flat in the corners. The two major downsides is the somewhat stiff ride on poor roads at
WHAT!! No Nav at this price is he snortin??? So no nav because i have a smart phone that i can use instead?? This man is sooo not credible. He just UNsold me on this vehicle.
the test vehicle he has doesnt have nav (as he stated). This is also evident by the lack of controls aft of the gear shifter. Cars with the nav option have them here (the pic placed at 1:45). If no nav, the systems controls are fwd of the gear selector (under the ac controls). I agree though that a $36k+ car should have nav in this day and age!
Every crossover Ron approaches looks tiny beside him. Better watch carbyer if you want a clear perception of the car size. Only the escalade looks 100% SUV sided by this giant reviewer.
Why the hell are you all bitching about navigation? As if you don't have smartphones. Or just buy one yourself, which tend to be better navs rather than the ones in the car. And yes, this is a expensive car, but so are all cars in the premium segment....
Hi, Audi 2012 Q5 multimedia system (other systems probably have the same flaw). I find it quite astounding that in today's technology world, Audi built such a restrictive and poorly designed system, without documenting and letting its customers. So here it goes: 1- Have more than 512 files in one folder? Audi will stop counting after 512 - you won't see the other ones. They probably think people still carry CD with 12 songs on a CD, so "512 should be enough for anyone". That's just terrible. But there is more. 2- Audi doesn't think it is reasonable to have a playlist with more than 100 songs on it. You do? Well, tough luck, only the first 100 songs will be played and displayed 3- mp3? That's soooo 1990's, but nobody told Audi. They don't support flac nor m4a (and probably other formats - I haven't tried anything else). How lame! Is there a way to send this feedback to Audi? Thanks.
this car burns 1qt of oil every 500 miles, called audi usa and they know and acknowledge the fact that is defected but they will only cover half of the problem if you willing to fix it. districted manager told me that if it was me I would just continue adding oil. never again Audi
I own My Q5 for five years with 150K Kms on the Clock and FSH by agent, still i had to pay R43 000 for complete engine overhaul due to high oil usage last year, and now again R43000 for gearbox work due to Mechatronic and clutch failure this year, SHIT CAR WILL NEVER BUY AUDI PRODUCT EVER. i also own two mercs one is 13 years old and other 25 years old and no problems not even oil usage, sam with my 25 year old ford. very disappointed with audi.
The review is good, but I always find myself pissed off when ppl talk about the MPG over diesel. Come on, the price / gallon for diesel and gas is different! How can you compare 30 MPG diesel with the 30 MPG gas??
Mercedes GLK looks WAYY better...This audi looks UGLY...It doesnt even look like an SUV...iam glad my mom got Mercedes GLK over this...O & inside mercedes looks better to

Yoy never take a left at alight....ever? That makes zero sense. But ok.
@@-redacted_by_youtube "Never get left at a traffic light" as in what he said earlier "I'm an aggressive driver" so he floors it at the light smh...

What more do you want? Sounds good to me lol
thinking of buying a q5 used car, I wonder if a 2012 q5 car still worth to consider in 2020?
It depends on the mileage and how well taken care of the car is. If its under 80k, and doesnt have common issues like carbon buildup, gearbox wear, or broken sunroof I would say this car is worth buying in 2021.
Thanks to you review. Now you will find this in my drive way too!
I bought a Q5 , just because you made a statement at end
I own the 2011 Audi Q5. It is a exceptional car. The driving dynamics and feel are one of the best. Its also good on gas. German cars are reliably when maintained properly.

that v6 they showed was from the s4 (TFSI) the 3.2 is TSI
This is my favorite German compact suv. From Japan it's the Lexus RX350. From the USA.....

the inside didn't cange in 7 years and you like it ? the screen sucks
lots more fun to drive versus a v6?
this guy really love Audi haha
I really like this car!
This isn't the 2012 model. My 2012 doesn't have the MMI controls underneath the air conditioning.
Do the 2013 now Please!!!
nawwwman. he LOVES this car.
This guy is the Huell Howser of cars reviewers!
wow .. so 4 cylinder SUV with no navigation system .. and it's the best crossover SUV on the market!!? .. what an honest review guys !
WHAT!! No Nav at this price is he snortin??? So no nav because i have a smart phone that i can use instead?? This man is sooo not credible. He just UNsold me on this vehicle.
WHAT CAR IT IS
Suspension repairs on Audi are very expensive

2.0T engine burns oil, but he is saying that is the best engine?
These cars are a money pit !
the best engine that break too fast!!!
Why does this man seem like he wasn’t actually making this video in 2012. He’s wearing an Apple Watch...
i understand its a good car but damn hes just on his knees for Audi
LMAO

never again Audi
Slow engine and too small but it is nice looking
They used a 2013 q5 picture for the interior
The diesel is from 2008
$40,000 car when it's all said and done and has NO navigation.. in the year 2012/ 13..? and he loves it LOL 1:53 omg lmaf
Mercedes Glk350 4Matic Alll thhhheeeee wayyyy
This is a crossover. 32 MPG highway is rather average for it's class.

At 1:42
xc60 T6
The best 4cylinders but most unreliable.... Catch22.
Yeah.. See Audi kind of did everything to their cars.. They have Anti-Breaking windows too! seriously.. :lol
You think the 2.0 is more fun then the 3.2? LOL!
Tesla has Audi beat.
Embarrassing to watch... It's like he is trying to sell you this exact car. No navigation a good thing?? 2L drives better than the 3.2L v6? lol
Tester seems to like this car but, OMG, no satnav? OMG what is gen Y to do without satnav, they're going to get lost in their own street.
+R Greenup yeah too bad they don't already have cell phones with navigation on them! the horror!
All sales pitch, no real review
Ex35 over this.
He over pitched the car..
oh my god this is ridiculous
You're buying a Volkswagen for a higher price.
audi doesnt make electric cars rofl
This didnt age well lol
I had 2012 A4 2.0T it had very sporty drive but extremely unreliable car
First
Mercedes GLK looks WAYY better...This audi looks UGLY...It doesnt even look like an SUV...iam glad my mom got Mercedes GLK over this...O & inside mercedes looks better to
