That was the worst thing i ever seen and heard
OmG, this made me happy. I was a fan of WASP when they appeared 40 Years ago and still adore all their old stuff. I Wanna be Somebody is such a hymn, great song and lyrics. And those children singing and going crazy along the whole song as I did at their age sent me goosebumps! Kudos to the new generations and big respect to Blackie Lawless for being still there for all of us!

How my fellow metalfans can talk som much crap about Blackie sitting down etc is beyond me. He had two surgeries but didnt want to dissapoint his fans. They still played well and everyone in the public around me had a great time.

I don't usually comment on videos. But online i've seen alot of hate / snide comments towards WASP (and their preformance here). I think its a shame. I think they put on a good show. And the children heard in the video seem to really be enjoying themselves. So i think thats all that should matter. Plus all these comments about Blackie sitting down. Seriously? He's had 2 surgeries. And is still trying to not disappoint fans. And he isnt the only artist / singer etc to ever sit down during a gig - just a quick example off top of my head marilyn manson say down when performing sweet dreams with joe perry. Why 1 rule for 1 etc.

The worst thing you can do is to teach children to accept/settle for mediocrity or in some cases less. The issue isn't Blackie sitting down it's the use of backing tracks.
They do a good show, only thing I wish from any band is true live. I do not believe the live part of the gig. I was dissapointed a while ago with them so it may influence me.
The problem is his lip-syncing and fake instruments playing together with fake background vocals on top of his fake lead vocals. That's the problem.

Surprisingly this is like 90% live. Lip syncing a lot of the choruses like Crazy, Miss You. But it's mostly his voice. Let's see how it goes when the tour starts.

Awesome that those kids know the music that their grandparents probably listened to! I saw WASP open for Iron Maiden in 1985 at the age of 15! Blackie Lawless has remained true to his music all these years and it pays off here. ❤❤

It’s Mike and Doug doing backup vocals. Other than that he has said he uses backing tracks during choruses of some of their songs.
Recorded vocals. He has been doing that for at least 15 years

@@beastwishes The Choruses have backing tracks pumped into them but Doug and Mike are still singing, it’s just hard to hear. I don’t understand why they use backing tracks as they both sound good. But during tracks like On Your Knees and Hellion when Blackie points at Mike for him to sing, it is him singing. Miss You and Crazy is where you can definitely hear the backing track from the original song pumped through.
On the double live assasins live album from 1997 you can hear backing vocals on choruses are Blackie's pre recorded vocals

He had major back surgery but I think he might be okay now. He's gearing up for another huge tour later this year.
I ve seen them opening for Maiden in the 80's a great moment to remember

I love WASP I was in jr high when first album dropped (I’m 52 now), loved it instantly still do, I miss Chris Holmes though and Blackie has seen better days, but he sounds pretty good!!
I still listen to w.a.s.p today and i miss Chris Holmes being there but still glad to see they are still doing this for us all...
Chris Holmes was never much good live anyway Doug Blair is better.

It's cool they played 'Crazy'. On the last tour they didn't play anything recorded after 'The Crimson Idol'.

So what is the story with Blackie ... is he miming or singing over the top of prerecorded vocals?
He's using backing tracks in choruses to boost the sound but he sings with his own voice more than people say. Here is a good example of his own voice 4:17

What is this disrespectful and jaded public who doesn't even appreciate this legend that is wasp. Chile and Argentina are real welcoming lands with a devilish atmosphere.
Still sound as good as they always have unlike other bands of that era, comes to show what can happen when you take care of yourself
The old metal bands remind me of a bad day when Pete won't do as he is told.
Blackie finally got someone worthy to replace Stet Howland on the drums! Now they just need to find a guitarist who can play the Crimson idol solos properly and Blackie can really start cooking

I think it's time that people start using "semi-live" in titles as opposed to "live". Great video & sound quality tho'
Hopefully Blackie will fully recover before the US tour so he can play while standing etc, otherwise it will be tough to do at least 4 shows a week.

He said in a recent interview that he is able to perform as usual again but for the Sweden rock festival the doctors adviced him to sit down just incase. This time he listened to his doctors advice

Yup, he sat and checked out my band one night at David's in Manchester CT and told me he liked my guitar playing, I was 18 or 19 and he was playing with RUN 21, 82 or 83, somewhere way back when, use to see them at JR's Fast Lane also with Stet Howland on drums who also played in WASP.

@@gep2771 ya it was ,we had some great times back then ,the eighties was one big party everyday at any moment someone would start partying and you were invited even if they didn’t know you cool as all hell of course someone always had a guitar on hand and a bonfire 🔥
@@go_askalice Great times indeed, Friday and Saturday nights after gigs were definitely spent driving home at dawn and pulling those shades down and closing the curtains and putting the fan on high before you got in bed.

This is why I just HATE outdoor shows. The sound is SO bad, I hope we get professional shots of these sets.
That said, I think this is the first live performance I've sen of WASP in over 35 years! Black actually sounds very good. I hope he gets better. I know he's been in tremendous pain for several years. Poor guy.
