what gives the zinc oxide the ability to go from something like a rash cream to an spf? is there other ingredients in the sunscreen that stabilize it or does diaper rash cream have some sort of spf coverage?
I think it depends on the percentage of zinc to make it an spf? It works well for spf and rash cream since it's considered as a skin protectant and anti-irritant? Not sure, sorry... 💞
In order for zinc oxide to protect the skin from UV rays, it had to form an even layer. Other ingredients in the sunscreen allow the zinc to stay distributed properly and form an even layer. Also, many sunscreens contain other ingredients that increase the SPF, but they are listed as inactive ingredients rather than active.
It's absolutely amazing also for backne - I used to itch and scratch mine, before I started using Sudocream, and Aldis own brand diaper rash zinc oxide cream. Amazing!

Let me just say something about women’s sanitary pads and diapers. Things today are made of plastic and plastic is very chafing! Most of the stuff has so much plastic in it that you’re basically sitting against your own water or your baby is. has anybody else noticed how positively irritating it is to sit against a damp sanitary pad causing you to get another one ASAP? Planned obsolescence anybody but a bad product for what it’s used for. If pads were all cotton, they would be very comfortable on our skin. Back when babies diapers were made of cotton cloth, diaper rash, only when you left the diaper on for too many hours, I don’t think babies spend that much time in one diaper today and look how much it costs. When I was a kid, we had a simple procedure for washing out dirty diapers for processing in the laundry.
I definitely have adjusted brands and change liners more often to lessen that moisture irritation. In the last couple years I started using diaper rash cream to help. I also sweat a lot and I think as I've gotten older that has gotten worse.
Stop sleeping on is a common informal way of saying "you're missing out on this." S for instance if you know that people walk by diaper cream in the store all the time, but you want them to know that it is super effective in skincare, you would say "Stop sleeping on diaper cream."
