- Dust Boot Adapter for CNC Router @ MKE Gadgets #198
In this video I make an adapter to go from a 2 1/2 inch hose and a 4 inch hose onto the dust boot of my CNC router.
Know, it’s possible to attach your dust hose to your dust boot without using magnets, rubber bands, duct tape, and those pesky hose clamps that are always in the wrong orientation.
This 3-D, printed part can be downloaded from Thingiverse, link below. If you don’t have a 3 D Printer, check with family and friends. You would be surprised how common 3-D printers are. Even some high schools grade schools and libraries have 3-D printers. At my local library you can take a class and they train you how to use it. Once trained, you can come in and print anything you want.

Good call with the library tip for 3d printing. Libraries are the best
Right on, a lot of people don’t know that libraries have a lot of stuff to offer more then book. Thank you for your continued support of my channel by commenting.
Smart idea
Thank you for your positive comment. Yes, I agree with your comment.
This looks like it’ll help me out and I do not even have a ‘suck it’ 😅
Thank you for sharing!

I really like your use of an aluminum square on your QCW. You should do a video on that and show how easy it is to use. I am totally going to use that idea 🙂
Thank you for noticing, I’m planning an upcoming video explain My Unique waistboard system.
What about a 2.5" hose clamp video? I see you have made one, so the video is probably on your to do list :-) Also, I bet you could come up with a good design to hold the vac hose up with a system attached to the bench. My ceiling it too high to hang the vac from, plus I want to be able to move my whole CNC setup, when doing long pieces of work that requires moving the work out the backside.
I haven’t seen a 2 1/2 inch hose. I’m planning on doing a video in the future of a boom that holds up the vac system hose.
