We hear you! Unfortunately all three Jet Ski brands - Sea-Doo, Yamaha WaveRunner and Kawasaki Jet Ski - have had record price rises over the past three years.
Yup they are pricing themselves out of the market. Unfortunately it’s consumers who control the prices though. If people refused to pay the insane prices and stop buying they would be forced to drop the prices
When you press the same hull and top deck over and over you can control the prices. The digital dashes are shared among the road and snow market as well, so prices shouldn’t change… Buuuut just like the auto industry once you tweak or develop a combustion engine which is in the millions be prepared to open your wallet, so you can send as many suggestions you want BRP to make changes that you think is important …they don’t care… it’s a numbers game and all businesses have shareholders or owners and these people want handsome dividends and profits. It’s cheaper to run a ski and more cost effective to buy one that 3/5 yrs old and send it to a performance shop have it go faster then continuously buying a new one… think about the cost increase in rego and insurances. The whole idea of a recreational boating experience is just that recreational, put fuel in and have fun. Most people will lease these things or just slap the $30k onto their mortgages and BRP and the rest know this. So happy riding into delusional debt.
Thanks for your feedback. At the end of the day, customers set the price. If people are prepared to pay, the RRPs will stay. Prices won't ease until customers reach their limit.
Same ski's for the past 10 years, slap a new coat of paint on them "$33,000" 😂😂😂😂😂. absolutely no reason to upgrade from my 2019 rxt-x. same exact sht.
I’m happy with my 2015! I have a stereo in my helmet and have a stage 4 with 315-320 hp. Nothing exciting about the new skis especially considering seadoo burned me majorly on the warranty by never helping rebuild my motor under warranty after loosing compression from a “certified” tech who dropped a foreign object into my lubrication system that ended up wreaking havoc on my internal components. Never will buy new again!
Thanks for your feedback and sorry to hear about the dramas you have. We understand there are a lot of enthusiasts who like to take their skis to the next level. However for now we prefer to keep Jet Skis stock to avoid complications like that. And we have dedicated our coverage so far to stock Jet Skis. The guys over at The Watercraft Journal and Green Hulk have a wealth of knowledge on the go-fast parts if you're looking for more info.
Wow!! I was waiting to see what ya'll came out with for the Explorer Pro 170 and when I heard it was unchanged for 2024, I thought to myself....Of Course It Is....my 2023 model pretty much has everything I need!! I am sure there are many folks that will love the additional HORSEPOWER of the 230 dropped in the Explorer Pro...but for me, I am good with the amount of power the 170 has....but for those that want to get to the campsite a little bit sooner than I do....I hope they have dinner ready for me when I get there!!! #SeaDooLifeRocks #FasterOrSlower #ExploringLikeAProCantBeBeat
We agree. We've spent a lot of time of the Sea-Doo Explorer Pro 170 and like it just the way it is. Sea-Doo is probably testing the water (so to speak) with the 230hp model to see what demand is like. Either way, two great options.
@@WatercraftZone I would love to drive one just to see the difference...but for now, I couldn't be more pleased with my Explorer Pro 170 as it does everything I need it to do and then some!! Love to hear what ya'll think when you review the 230!
Every Jet Ski manufacturer has its strengths and weaknesses. We've listed known issues (and their fixes) for all three brands: Sea-Doo, Yamaha WaveRunner and Kawasaki Jet Ski here: watercraftzone.com.au/myth-busters-the-truth-behind-the-rumours-about-each-brand/
It's a hangover from years ago when a batch of carbon seals weren't right. Sea-Doo fixed it as quickly as they could but bad news spreads faster on social media than good news.@@terminator8220
Old sea doos steering was always so responsive. So easy to maneuver. I think the new seadoos have too much play and lag in the steering to the movement throwing your body out of balance
Man the costs of these things are getting insane

Still cheaper than a new boat. A nicely equipped 21ft o/b will set you back 70K

Now now, you know the ST-3 based Sea-Doo RXT-X has not been out 10 years. And you're ignoring the latest 325hp engine upgrade.
GTR has the best color the rest are kind of ugly
GTX Limited isn’t too bad, I think the white looks pretty good.
We love the white/silver colour scheme of the 2024 Sea-Doo GTX Limited 300.

Still stay with Yamaha, I heard they sink less

What’s up with everyone saying that Sea-Doos sink? I’ve owned 2 GTI SEs, a Wake 155, and a GTX Limited and have never had one sink.
Way less
