I think that Vivo is a step ahead in night mode, indoors and portrait. You didnt test the Vivo 2x or the 3.5x for portrait where it really shines and you didnt test the zeiss natural on portrait either. Vivo with ought night mode and with just 1 sec of exposure, usually takes better pictures than the other 2 with night mode enabled and long exposure. You barely mentioned it. But it is a very important feature. Thank you for the comparison though.
iPhone tends to take a bit wash out shots from time to time. Vivo on the other hand makes its own colors for the portrait shots but i think that it nailed most of them. Even tho they were much from real, they came out really remorable and Instagram ready. Pixel has weird clipping in the video
Change a couple of settings on the 14 Pro and Max and the images are excellent. Select high contrast in the styles and drop the exposure down to -0.3 it makes a huge difference. I have the Pixel 7 Pro but it isn't as good as the 14 Pro Mad I had before this. It takes great Instagram images but beyond that it is very limited. Also over exposes low light images.

Before my current Pixel 7 Pro, I had an S22U and an i13PM, and the Pixel is so much better,so I'm not really interested about the i14PM. If the S23U present something worth switching for then im gonna switch..otherwise the i15PM/Pixel8Pro in the fall will be next. :)
They have to change processing as well. Quite often the shots from Pixel 7 Pro look overprecessed because the use the same algorithm as they use on a smaller sensor.

*Mkbhd complained* that Pixel 6 pro was 10/10 very rarely wherein the iPhone was 9/10 consistently. And now, I think the Pixel 7 pro is 11/10 all the time.
The more I see, the most I like the iphone's shots. They are "consistent". Ones from the Vivo are very visual but most times it looks unrealistic and too saturated (like samsung in the s5 era). Pixel does amazing but I feel that when it makes it bad, it's really bad.

Ok to keep it totally honest we have hit a tech wall as far as picture and video quality for current flagship phones. As far as tech UA-camrs and professional photographers, that have to intricately analyze different phone pictures and videos to pick out a “winner”. But the average person taking regular pictures and videos probably can’t tell a real difference in the quality, basically they all are great and have been for the past 4years I would say. Until we get full VR on phones, things are going to be the same for the foreseeable future.
Why is no one talking about network/sim card issues of the pixel 7 pro. I have been having bad issues ( no service for days randomly) with my pixel 7 pro and the only thing google says when i contacted them they are working on solving the issue and there is no specific time on when it is going to be solved!

The S23 will still use a small sensor - so once again noise mecca in low light. I also won't have the zeiss coating and technology to bring out the shadows and retain detail in hightlights like the vivo. They know the s23 will sell like hot cakes, so no need to make drastic improvements. Same strategy Apple is using.

I took a family portrait at Christmas with the 6 pro and printed it in 12" by 16", it looks great. Most likely the phone you have is more than capable.

11:14 you can see how well Vivo handled the reflection of lights on the ground. Apple and Pixel have light reflections.

If you want to have 50 watts of wireless charging you have to use the Vivo wireless charger. If you use any other charger the 50 watts will not work.

is funny that on my big screen vivo on front facing video has more details on your face in full hd than the other in 4k so i see no problem with vivo
