They should be ashamed that they didn't use FIXY correctly. FIXY has a base part that goes with the press and they provide new makeup pans that you press into. It works amazingly and Beauty Insider even reviewed it last year showing how well it worked (www.businessinsider.com/fixy-kit-repairs-shattered-makeup-2018-8). I can't believe they skipped steps and did it wrong. FIXY doesn't change the color and can be used immediately. I've seen it work great. It's so not cool of them to not use the product correctly, especially when they do the process correctly in a past video and give it a positive review. I feel bad for FIXY who obviously spent years designing something that works so well.
The thing with repressing makeup is that the amount pressure you add will efect the performance of the powder. In labs they press it at different levels for different formula so if you do it at home, it will be a different consistency than before.
Agreed. Note that they didn't use FIXY correctly at all. It has a base that goes with the press part and round makeup tins to press into. It works amazingly if used right. They even reviewed the product a year ago (and used it correctly) and raved about it (www.businessinsider.com/fixy-kit-repairs-shattered-makeup-2018-8). When used correctly, it presses better than any other option. Just check out their site and verified reviews.
Nico literally did a video on the Fixy kit for the channel last year and it turned out so much better and she said it was great. Pretty sure she did it wrong this time.
I fix compacts on a regular basis, for friends and family. I use rubbing alcohol for all of my fixes because it’s the best method. It won’t affect the quality of the product. If your worried about the looks of the product after the running alcohol, what I always do is smooth it out with a small knife, lay a piece of paper towel on the compact, and take either a square or circle stamper and stamp the product until it’s flat and compact. The paper towel even gives it a pretty pattern 😂🥰
With the FIXY kit the powder should have been put in the provided pans not back in the palette. Which is why they were crumbly because the pressing tools are only round.
I can't believe they didn't use FIXY correctly. Of course it didn't work. They reviewed the product in the past, did the process correctly and it worked great (www.businessinsider.com/fixy-kit-repairs-shattered-makeup-2018-8). Wow, just wow.
Ok but honestly the aesthetics aren’t really important since no one will see your pallet but your makeup on your face🤔 so I do think rubbing alcohol is way better
Elizabeth Keith No. It’s a grinder that breaks it down into a uniform powder, plus the spray solution that fixes the makeup. Not worth $44 imo, but it’s not just a box. Unfortunately, you lose product and it doesn’t work.
@@mscardioqueen They didn't use the kit correctly at all. The didn't use the bottom of the kit (2 parts that press the makeup). It presses into new makeup pans. I can't believe they didn't use FIXY correctly. I've seen it work amazingly. It comes with a cute small palette too. Beauty Insider did a past video of the product and it worked great. ua-cam.com/video/2lVT7G-5P30/v-deo.html
Didn't Beauty Insider review Fixy last year and give it a really positive review? Nico is in that video too and she was raving about it. I noticed they used it differently in this video too... I'm so confused lmao.
Yes, they used the kit incorrectly. The didn't even use the press holes and circular makeup pans the kit comes with. If you use those parts you'll press the powder correctly and nothing out there does it better. Plus, you can use your makeup immediately if you use it correctly. Last years review: www.businessinsider.com/fixy-kit-repairs-shattered-makeup-2018-8 Yes, this video makes no sense at all.
That’s why you also use a tissue or something to put on top of the isopropyl alcohol one and press down on it. When you press it in the pan....it looks like you just got it.
And should you a eye drop her when you do it and a small piece of square wax paper to go on top of it to make it to does not run out and then let it dry for 72
They did it wrong basically they used rubbing alcohol and moon mooose on the same eyeshadow palette so maybe the consistency of both of them reacted and didn't work
You do realize that pressing makeup is usually with a coin wrapped in tissue paper or a paper towel right? And then you kind of swirl and make circles on the surface and you're good to go.
gaara’s gf omg i’m so sorry i can’t remember! but 9 times outta 10 i’m either wearing the colourpop ariel lipstick or kylie cosmetics commando! (with colourpop bff 2 liner) ♥️
Of course the rubbing alcohol is the only one that works. The other products that were used aren’t other “methods”. They are just products people are trying to get you to buy. Stick to rubbing alcohol people. It’s cheap and it works.
I cant believe the winner is the rubbing alcohol...
What the company doing selling expensive product but lose to a cheap rubbing alcohol

Is that huda beauty neon pallete?😰
Yep! 😛

Ikr
Press it with a paper towel.
$44 for a plastic box!?
no you clown.

I know exactly what you're saying Elizabeth. Essentially, that is what you're paying for because nothing else in that box worked.

This video was so satisfying to watch!! And that rubbing alcohol coming in clutch FREE99 haha
😂
For the alcohol I think you're supposed to press a paper towel on it for the makeup to be compressed and for a bit of the alcohol to be sucked
That eyeshadow palette was so cute
Does this work in matte eyeshadows
Pretty awesome. So relaxing.
Huh not bad for being a bit early. But why do I feel this video has been made already?
Agree 101
I feel like it was too
where are the smoothing tools from?
I used alcohol and the my it cosmetics powder foundation keep breaking over and over. Same situation with my NAtasha denona dharia
Thank you! this is very helpful!
My anxiety is on 💯 watching them mash up their good pallettes... good lord.
Same girl same
I can actually feel pains🤦🏽♀️
Oh insider is the most interesting channel in UA-cam
You are amazing
I have no words to describe this channel
Our suppose to add tissue over the rubbing alcohol
Apropos of nothing - LOVE Nico's hair!
or you know, use parchment paper and a solid object and press lightly :)
Oh my GOD !! I thought I was never gonna see a real person with my name!!
Just saved my life😩
Fyi Klaire de Lys has a really useful video on how to fix makeup!
And should you a eye drop her when you do it and a small piece of square wax paper to go on top of it to make it to does not run out and then let it dry for 72
I watch these videos like I own/wear make up 😂
Only it can save my grades...
So is this really a thing? Seems like another way to get your money or maybe it's just because I'm 41 and have dealt with broken makeup forever🤷🏿♀️
tyshine33 the rubbing alcohol method is legit.
Or just use vodka
You should press the makeup with tissue. For the better look of the product
I do not like that Fixy thing. I mean what's the point in that when it takes all the product away.... That's 44 dollar trash right there.
The alcohol will change the chemistry makeup though right. Just nah it really hard and walla, perfect
Truly not being snarky, but just so you know - it's not 'walla', it's 'voila". Seriously - it's French.
i have to know which lip nico is wearing omg
gaara’s gf omg i’m so sorry i can’t remember! but 9 times outta 10 i’m either wearing the colourpop ariel lipstick or kylie cosmetics commando! (with colourpop bff 2 liner) ♥️
Nico Reyes thanks for letting me know!! you’re so stunning btw
Huh? It’s 4 weeks ago? But I’ve already seen this video before
Of course the rubbing alcohol is the only one that works. The other products that were used aren’t other “methods”. They are just products people are trying to get you to buy. Stick to rubbing alcohol people. It’s cheap and it works.
Bruh this only has like 1000 views and it posted by insider like
I feel this was made before
It was kinda cringey
Just through it away
'FIXY KIT' is a FRAUD! False advertising! Unless your both did it wrong, Shame one that company!!
Yo
Sorry but Fixy is clearly the best option. The attempt was laughable.
I think it's so satisfying to watch people destroy make up
Because I hate it 😊
Oh wow early
