Hi Bob, I missed this video when it was published first and when I watched it, I reminisced my childhood when we had dogs, chickens, pigeon and rabbits. We also had a huge backyard which had 4 mango trees. We also planted corn, sweet potato, bitter melon, eggplant , peanuts…. etc. Want a tip on your next peanut planting? When you noticed the stalks are having flowers, slightly spread the whole plant flat and add more soil on it so you’ll produce more peanuts - try this method who knows you might double your harvest next time. Another good harvest for Robert! His consistently hard works have brought the excellent successes! From melon, pumpkin, rice, corn, sweet potatoes, ginger, and now peanuts! Yet Robert still has huge field of cassava and the second crop of corns are coming near! On top he are now able to sell pigs and chickens! He is a great example for young people! Peanuts havesting is fun. we used to dig in ground after they pulled the peanuts theres always some peanuts that left in ground so much fun. Its a lot of work i salute on you for your hard work. Your remark that the peanut harvest 'isn't bad' is too modest! The yield is wonderful - a bumper harvest. I expect you won't be able to consume it all, so I hope you can sell some in the market and get a good price for this highly nutritious, healthy looking and wholly organic crop.
You are always full of innovative ideas to utilize every space you have on the farm. Who would have thought that one could tie the stalks of peanuts in small bundles and hang them on the vegetable garden fence to dry? It's a brilliant idea. I would love to be that imaginative.
