it's the first part that has that profound and lasting impression on me for the rest of my days. "your head is full of schemes to turn the world around, but all your fancy dreams are from the lost and found"
You’re just a bluffer, a candle snuffer Can’t get enough for your dreams A huff and puffer, bed pillow stuffer You’re bound to suffer, it seems Your head is full of schemes to turn the world around But all your fancy dreams are from the lost and found Are from the lost and found You’re only a bluffer, a dish, you’re a duffer A huffer and puffer, it’s true There is no rougher, more bound to suffer And scruffier bluffer than you But try and try again No need to sit and mope You never should say when Or ever give up hope Or ever give up hope So be a bit tougher, a trouble rebuffer And do enough to win through So be a bit tougher, a trouble rebuffer And do enough to win through
Fogelogel Good work. A lovely snapshot of post Cold War optimism mixed with fear of environmental collapse, that I and seemingly many others around my age experienced in the late 80s/early 90s.
Yes, at about 5:30am! Possibly other times but I remember always catching the end as I went downstairs to watch cartoons while everyone else was asleep.
I remember being at primary school in the early 90's and the only time I saw it was during the day around lunch time if you ever had an in service day or a day off sick. I guess it was aimed at 2-4 year olds getting looked after at home or maybe kids who went home for their lunch. The episodes seemed dead short to so I get the feeling the original episodes were chopped up to stretch it out longer. The plot was pretty identical to The Raccoons. Talking forest dwelling creatures trying to foil the development plans of a heartless tyrant like industrialist.
@@ChristopherSobieniak Yes, it was only released in the u.k and was on video only here. My dad used to rent them when I was a kid. (it was just a memory don't judge me.😔)

i love the bluffers it was one of the best cartons I ever watched as a kid
You’re just a bluffer, a candle snuffer
Can’t get enough for your dreams
A huff and puffer, bed pillow stuffer
You’re bound to suffer, it seems
Your head is full of schemes to turn the world around
But all your fancy dreams are from the lost and found
Are from the lost and found
You’re only a bluffer, a dish, you’re a duffer
A huffer and puffer, it’s true
There is no rougher, more bound to suffer
And scruffier bluffer than you
But try and try again
No need to sit and mope
You never should say when
Or ever give up hope
Or ever give up hope
So be a bit tougher, a trouble rebuffer
And do enough to win through
So be a bit tougher, a trouble rebuffer
And do enough to win through
In the Dutch version of this song they actually end it by stating.
"Life is just one very big bluff."
It's a shame the English version omits that.
@@RastaSaiyaman Interesting, though I wouldn't be surprised if the English lyrics were written first and the Dutch version threw that in anyway.

The music: *Happy sounding*
The lyrics: *Don't even try to hide the fact that it's a dark series.*
Have to give it credit there.
Ah, the second part of the lyrics is very hopeful: "Try and try again" "Do enough to win through" etc.
Good on the Dutch for this masterpiece and excellently composed theme tune ❤️
This brings back memory’s

Questi sì che erano cartoni d'infanzia!!!
Trouble rebuffer, perhaps?
Italian version of this outro is without words. Is there, somewhere, this music without words? Thank you :-)
Wait...GENE DEITCH? THE GENE DEITCH WORKED ON THIS?!
Meredith Caudle 😂
Who the feck is gene deitch?
I saw his name in the thumbnail and I had to make sure I was seeing that right. I DID NOT EVEN KNOW THIS
Rob He worked on an era of the Tom and Jerry cartoons in the early 1960s. His T&J cartoons were notoriously creepy.
i love it, and looktisme i know what you mean, its haunted me forever...
does anyone know if there is a clear copy of the characters illustration that zoom in at the start of this outro?
Does anyone know the lyrics? I can make out some of them, but not all them
where can i find the lyrics for the outro of this theme song?
@Jamie Pritchard better late than never they say ^^
@Jamie Pritchard oh i've been around for years ^^
The singers sound like kids... Mostly
@KlonoaKawaiiDesu It looks more anti-capitalism then pro-communist to me.
