What an incredible track. In 1966 people said The Troggs were so far behind they were ahead of their time. In 1972 they were way ahead of their time. Rock On Reg. I'll never forget the day I came to your house and you cooked the Sunday Lunch. Or the day we spent recording tracks at Olympic studios. Great memories of a great man.
I saw The Troggs in Melbourne, Australia (The Tote) in 2016 and they played this. First time I ever heard it, but it was incredibly catchy - a highlight of the show. It was a great gig and they could still rock and roll.
I saw them at Revesby Workers. I would have liked to have heard also 66-5-4-3-2-1. There are just so many good songs from The Troggs! I did dig Night of The Long Grass. That is another favourite. That was cool!
Saw them often, back in the day, sometimes you could hear them rehearsing upstairs in the globe pub, last time i saw them was in moore hall in the sixties
"Feels Like a Woman" was recorded in 1970 . Roger Bain , Black Sabbath's Engineer , handled the Producing chores , hence the heavy - as - fuck sound. Of course , The Troggs were already heavier than the competition in 1966. It may not have been released in some countries until '72 , I don't know....It flopped everywhere except South Africa , where Reg demanded their audience be desegregated. Few bands have had the balls to cover it. The Waste Kings , from Chicago , did a great version , as did Joe's boys , The Fleshtones.
There are at least two versions. One is "she walks, she talks...", the other is "you walk, you talk". This one in second-person singular is definitely more powerful...
The Troggs are THE ROOT of everything happened in rock music after them. And the reason why The Troggs, The Zombies and The Kinks are not considered as they are, respectively THE FOUNDATION and why they are almost forgotten today is probably the greatest mistery of the music history.
Sounds like it. Unfortunately bands like the Troggs are probably viewed by the White Stripes as a "seminal influence". Code for that means that Jack has ripped them off!!!!!

Lee Wood: Hail to Reg, lost but not forgotten!!!
Some of the first metal and the first fuzz box action.
I saw The Troggs in LA in 1980 and this was the highlight of an amazing show!
The Troggs sound was definitely influential. Has a kind of fuzzed out AC/DC feel to it.
I just heard this for the first time ever tonight on satellite radio. I couldn't turn it off.
holy crap, this right here is what came between link wray and the stooges in the creation of punk rock

I heard this on the radio..thought it was sabbath at first!!
ROGER BAIN BROTHER !!
One of their best songs, one of the best rock songs of the 70s in my mind .... stupidly on b-side ....
Fuzzus maximus! Great!
Really heavy troggs; and and ahead of it's time, great track a sort of early
garage/punk with metal leanings.
On WFMU Radio tonight. Thanks for this..
There are at least two versions. One is "she walks, she talks...", the other is "you walk, you talk". This one in second-person singular is definitely more powerful...
the second version is from the 'Black Bottom' album from 1981. it's a re-recorded one.
RIP Reg!!

Time travelers.
Fuckin raw
Но почему наши станции не передают. Всё-таки это шедвр!
@timmycrw91
Not to upset, but I guess that was Metal that was influenced, if not created by the Troggs and other bands and not the inverse
ah good questions
Is this where Jack White got his sound from?
Ahead of Hendricks and Black Sabbath. All about marketing the products. Bad Management.
Marc Bolan wrote this song for the troggs. They were a massive influence on T-rex.
Feels Like A Woman was written by Reg Presley, wtf are you smoking, I want some.
That's a stretch. Reg wrote it!
does anyone know the chords or have a guitar tab for this song?
Anyone who needs a tab or chord chart to figure out a Troggs song should just give up now...
it's in 'E'
@@thetroggs5655 Of course it is!
That about chicks with peckas?
1972? I guess even the Troggs were influenced by metal. LOL!
fuzz! the troggs is the troggs no black sabbath no acdc!
GOOD QUESTION
ROGER BAIN WAS GOD !
