- A cheapo Windows Movie Maker visualisation of The Troggs 1981 30s gangster-themed single "Black Bottom", taken from the album of the same name. Almost certainly the best 80s LP made by a 60s British Invasion act, surpassing most of their 60s work IMO. Great stripped down production, and loads of great immediate and entertaining songs like this one.
chris britton and reggie pressley were the heart and soul to this group ... chris's excellent and imaginative guitar playing ..... reggie's distinctive and unusual voice .... always lookin for new sounds .... never will get the respect they deserve for being in the upper echelon of the music world!
Enjoyed that! Thanks! Troggs Forever!
Great! It's fans like this who make the day of rock stars!
Black Bottom is a great album R.I.P. Reg.
I love this video so much
only these guys could make this SOUND GREAT!
very good, indeed!
The cartoons can represent very well the music
first time hearing this song ..... really love the whole concept .... sounds clear .... and makes ya want to move your head and say .... "BLACK BOTTOM ... BLACK BOTTOM ... THEY GOT ME DOIN IT TOOOOOO"!!!!!
Bwaa haa haaa! Thanks for sending Jacqueline the link; this is such a HOOT! One of my fave Troggs' songs - when I first heard it I was too young to understand the content but loved it anyway. After being a fan since the 80s I finally met the Troggs (and Tony Murray) in Andover and that was good fun to talk to all of them and at long last see a performance.
I'd love to see you cartoonize "the tapes"!! Please? Purdy please? With Coca Cola, Miller beer, or "little bells and cockle shells" on top?
Fabuleux morceau en pleine période punk/new wave !
j'adore! you are fan oui pour connaitre sa!
this song needs to be re-aired on the radio waves --------------- funny and a nice beat!
this song is awesome i've been looking for it for 3 years
When i first heard this song some 7 or 8 years ago with my big bro listening to my mums old CDs we thought when he said "I woke up shouting and screaming" we thought he said "I woke up and shat on the screen" XD
Love the cartoon^^
🥰🤣
I love the Troggs, but I can't remember ever hearing this song before. Love it, and the video too. I also love black bottom pie. There used to be a great place that served it but they went out of business. It's hard to find it in this neck of the woods. Guess I'd have to drive all the way to Texas to get me some that was made right.
The Troggs лучшая группа! Кто так же считает с того👍
hey ajsmith .... fine job with this cartoon video ... simple is excellent in my book ... love this song ... thanks for sharing this with us ... the troggs are a group that i never realized had a lot more then just the 2 or 3 top hits they put out. keep up the good work .... love babyface too, lol!
"there was BONEY and clyde and big louie"
More cowbell!
There you go! It's genius!
В каморке что за актовым залом репетировал школьный ансамбль )))
Man ! This is just GREAT ! My congratulations go to whoever made the cartoon and obviously to the writer of the song ! THE TROGGS RULE ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
very original ---------- and great!
@JiS01 I noticed the chord similarity as well.. however I agree with others it's far from a cover. I can play both songs on guitar and it's fun to segue between the 2 songs. Both brilliant songs!
@MrPeguin666 Black Bottom ain't crap, it's Genius! Kurt would definitely have loved it. (though obv About a girl wasn't based on it).. The Troggs and Nirvana.. both defining heros of rock and roll.
sounds like he says "BUGSY WHAT YA GONNA DO" ..... not "PRESLEY"
@frizzlefrap
Indeed, he definitely says "BUGSY" not "PRESLEY"
Cool cartoon by the way ! Great song !
@MrPeguin666 Black Bottom is genius, not crap! Kurt would defitnely have loved it (though obv. about a girl isn't based on it). The Troggs and Nirvana.. both geniuses of rock.
I don't know what note is what ------- but ------------ this is just such a different type of song ----------- ya gotta love it!
@NickTamila It goes like this: verse is Em G Em G Em G repeated then ends on B ("gave me such a hell of a fright") Then for the chorus you stay on B and it goes like this: B Em B Em B Em, B Bb A Ab, B# Em B# Em B (hold on B then back to the verse)
I've looked for the chords online but can't find them. Could someone help me out please? Surely they can't just be Em-G etc
dance 1920?
Thanks! But I usually say C instead of B#...
I hate to be the one to ask this, but was Alcapone doing the Orange Justice?
Acapone killed people if they got in his way ,Mafia
Stoner Punk lmao.
not a very flattering drawing of chris britton!
By this time Chris Britton was gaining more guitar prowess but losing hair...
