Using Mobil 1 0w-20 since 5k miles on my 21 NA. Have done over 30k miles on the Sauce Tune! No oil consumption, leaks, or problems. Maintenance cover is two PH2 screws. The drain plug is 17 mm. Don't over tighten the drain plug with the crush washer. Always hand tightened the oil filter with a rag. I use the FRAM Synthetic Endurance(6607) from Walmart. Thanks for the drain valve link!
0W20 for NA and 5W30 for Turbo, 8000km(5000miles) or 6 months, that's what Mazda recommends. Mazda OE oil filters. I use Liqui-Moly Special Tec AA 5W30 for my 3 Turbo, the Molygen would be the next best thing but it's not cheap. My turbo takes 5.4 liters of oil at the upper dot. I use Red Line 10W40 with Ester for the Supra, with Toyota filters, but that's a different story. I love how Mazda made it easy for the oil change, nice access panel with the drain plug and filter at the same spot. That Fumoto valve is neat.
@@supermazda3 I would hope too but you'd be surprise how most owner don't read the manual. I read mine completely and while most of the things I already knew, I did learn many things too. I still have to read the Mazda Connect manual tho 😅

Did your fumoto valve not come with a safety clip? I know it’s probably very rare but I’ve read stories about people’s levers failing or getting knocked open by debris. Another tip that helps cut down time and mess is getting the little hose barb/nipple that attaches to the valve. I connect a hose to that and stick it straight into an old 5L container and drain directly.
Hey there! Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, but I’ve got a 2020 Mazda 3 2.5L manual transmission and was wondering if you’ve installed the VT supercharger kit on any manuals, or know anyone who has? I’m curious how much the transmission can handle with a supercharger on conservative boost. Appreciate any insights!
I'm using the OEM Mazda filter for the turbo (9.99 at my dealer). There's an NA and turbo OEM filter with a slight difference. AFAIK all the aftermarket filters are based on the NA filter. Oh and Costco 5w-30 lol.
I just did my oil change and noticed my oil drain plug is almost stripped (I've bought the car used) and was looking to replace it with my next oil change. Maybe ill try the drain plug adapter you mentioned
I personally use Castrol edge oil fully synthetic. I used it on my Hyundai Elantra sport with a big turbo on it for 5 years before I traded in for my Mazda 3 turbo. It handles the heat better than Mobil one. I also got a coworker who dad has an account with Amsoil and I thinking about trying it out on my next oil change. I know everyone has their own oil that they trust but that’s just my opinion on oil.
This is asking for a lot but it would be nice to have a video on installing the fab9 upgraded fuel pump because I wanna buy it but I dont how to install it lol

Sauce tune is legit. Don't need to floor it to feel the difference. Pulls harder everywhere. I'm impressed!

Castrol is the way to go
yes, I'm in no way saying it's the best, but based on experience, it's better than other oils that I've tried & it's much cheaper too haha
