- Today, in our modded experience of Terraria, we play the newly released TERROGUELIKE! Which, as the name suggests, makes your Terraria experience into a full fledged roguelike experience. If we die, we are sent back to the very beginning to challenge each level of enemies, and each reworked boss until we complete the game in one haul. Will we able to get to the end and defeat the Moon Lord in one fell swoop? How many times will it take for us to beat it once and for all? Better yet, are we mentally capable of beating TerRoguelike on its Blood Moon difficulty?

No modern 'roguelikes' play anything like Rogue.
Though that said, Rogue is not that great, so aping all of it isn't the best idea anyway.

Waffle time makes a lot of vanilla stuff but by no means does he primarily play vanilla.

All that training evading the bukkake of projectiles in infernum really made waffle an evading god

I just had a couple runs of this mod, it's amazing to say the least. A little tricky to get started like most roguelikes but very fun. Would highly recommend giving it a shot if you own Terraria. Looking forward to playing more of it and the updates that are to come. Edit: Omg, that lava death, I felt the pain bro. Your items were insane. Awesome video dude, well done!

that minigun run was soooo gooooood but that shit was tragic, the reason you couldnt get up was because you fell underneath a lip that the platform had in the center, so you just hit your head on the little lip.

Btw most of the items / music is either a item or music from risk of rain returns and risk of rain 2
Funny thing, my first complete run on this game was a melee build. I had a bunch of health items, items that gave me a bunch of damage if I was close to the enemies, life steal, and also barrier on melee hit. Melee also just does a bunch of damage on its own so that also helped.
I love how much stuff is referencing or inspired by ultrakill here, ex: the crimson vessel is literally flesh prison

The idea for the mod should have been such a given for Terraria but it never popped into my mind
Love the Risk of Rain music in some parts! If you are up for it you should try some RoR2 with friends! (I totally don't have 300hrs in it)

I've been playing it a lot and it's easy to say it's an amazing mod.

Man, if you enjoyed this you would love Risk of Rain. Many of the items in this are heavily inspired for the ones in there. I would recommend Risk of Rain 2, as it is much more complex and easier to learn.
This definitely reminds me of dead cells, if you ever have the time I strongly recommend that game

@@Ktkatz11 Yeah, a lot of the music from the mod is from both games. There's more ROR music than Ultrakill music lmao
yo waffle, if you save and exit anywhere in the game, then select then select the character you made for the mod (go in play game, not play terroguelike), select The Dungeon, you'll start back at the start with EVERYTHING you had before, so you can literally look just like in risk of rain.
About a quarter through the video I installed the mod and played the salvaged minigun is very good
this mod screams Risk of Rain 2, I might have to give it a try

it would be cool if you could get regular terraria weapons as swap ins, be they for a set amount of time or just on that whole run

nobody mentioned how the items are literally just risk of rain 2 items with different names, they even have the changing items into other items mechanic and use the item drop sound from risk of rain
