That is what this unusual sitcom from the late 1980’s attempts to explore. The show premiered on March 20th, 1987 on the ABC television network. The creators of this show went on to create The Nanny.

Oh man I remember this show! Used to come on just before Sledge Hammer on ABC !
I remember liking that show too.
Those were the day's
I like it when the forest animals are helping Snow White clean and they all leave it’s actually very cute! 😍
I also really like that the little boy loves Lillian despite she’s the evil queen! It is often the little people even in real life that bring out the best even in the bad guys.
There were a few years I was thinking maybe I just imagined this show as a kid. Finally found it a few years ago thanks to the internet.
I have to admit I liked it. Going to watch the rest of them over time
one of the funniest shows ever.........especially Paul Winfield the magic mirror!!
I totes loved this show and was rather cheesed off when the Network Suits pulled it
Truth.
Same 😂 i've been trying to find the episode where the kids say they trade gold bars for $5 worth of tokens at the arcade if anyone knows which episode that is
This silly, forgotten show was just hilarious and so well done!
The father on "Reba" as the father, Miss Farmer from "3 O'Clock High" as the mother, the guy who played Martin Luther King, Jr. in that 1978 miniseries about said civil rights activist and Julian Barlow on another Embassy-produced series, "227" as the mirror on the wall, and the dude who played J.T. Lambert on another ABC sitcom "Step by Step" as one of the sons.
I remember the mirror actor from "The Wrath of KHAN!!!!" Mom recorded this episode on the same tape as William Shatner's 1987 SNL "Get a Life" show.
@@sandal_thong8631 he was also in the original terminator
@@zt1053 Paul Winfield, since his name wasn't mentioned.
I have such good memories of this.
Embassy logo used until 12-17-87. it aired on Thursdays.
I was 7 or 8 when this show came out. I just thought about it and googled it. I love everything Christopher rich is in, Reba, Melissa and Joey. They could’ve found a better snow white
loved this clever show
Love this show!! Thank you!!
more!!! you got a great copy
I had completely forgotten about this. Thank you for the upload.
This is where comes to my memory kids time!
I had the hugest 10 year old’s crush on Caitlin.
I actually watched this show a little bit
This show was funny and awesome
Sued by the Mouse for use of "copyright infringement" on a public domain princess. Later buys ABC, the channel it originally ran on.
I do not know if nz had seen this show Never Knew Brandon Call was in this.
I never asked for this.
In later episodes the magic mirror is able to show up on different mirrors. I guess he still needs the main mirror to exist.
Thanks for the upload of this hard to find series. This episode is one of the better quality ones out there, where did you obtain this episode and do you have the rest of the series?
This is the only episode of The Charmings I have.
Yes I would love to see more episodes of this too.
Those with Bell Canada can watch online at CTV.
So Brandon call was on ABC's Friday nights pre-t.g.i.f. and pre step by step, along with miller redfield (Christopher rich). i recall watching sledge hammer as a kid, but not this though. i did read about this sitcom years after this was cancelled.
I remember this show. I think in the second season they recast Snow White.
I saw on IMDb that the 2nd Snow was her first TV/movie role; strange it would be a lead. Maybe last minute casting?
I saw on Wikipedia it ran March-April, then came back with a new Snow to run September-February; didn't broadcast episode 21 in USA, but did in UK.
@@sandal_thong8631Somebody posted Christopher Rich who played Eric charming Didn’t like the original snow getting top billing and got her fired
The ratings were good the first season but then it was put up against the Cosby show for the second season
Just after I read that, I saw the ad of the show's cast saying so on Mom's old VHS tape! "Who's Cosby?" I think the only way to have gotten ratings opposite Cosby would have been to broadcast Nascar or wrestling! Or if a/the woman he raped filming the Cosby Show had come out then.
@@sandal_thong8631 The show belonged on the more family themed Friday night. I think Full House got the Charmings time slot on Friday
I know they make fun of it now but I love these old shows with their cheesy intros lol It's hard to picture this airing with Sledgehammer. God I miss only 3 networks (and pbs)... These were great times - the 80's was the best decade.
Paul Winfield doing his best bit of sass. shame he died semi- in the closet (open to friends but not the public)
So...she was Snow Whites mom? And a witch?
No. She is the evil stepmother and an evil witch.
She was her stepmother
what the name of the episde with the doctor and the kid becume sick thank
How did a Platypus get in here?
Perry is that you?
This was a GOOD show. Paul Winfield saves it. They switch snows in s2...I think 1st snow was 'better' but this was a smart show -written off as dumb. It says alot of the cast that you actually BUY the premise by how they act.
Paul's definitely the most talented and comedic.
It might’ve been ahead of its time because Nine years later Sabrina the teenage witch Premiered and it ran for seven years
