I've never heard of this show! Back in '93.... "Martin" ruled on Fox. Martin.. then Living Single... then New York Undercover!! My TV was Locked in! 👍👍
I used to watched those shows and They will always come Fox 45 on Thursdays
It was in a different state
There were plenty of shows before Martin to be honest. Martin is the king of black sitcoms on fox tho.
Please don't forget In living color
Sick how I still remember the line-up too 😂
Never heard of this show until now.
Me either and its actually pretty good.
Me too
There were so many black shows on network tv back in the day
Yes those were the good old days.
Some of these are pilot pitches.... that means they never got green lighted for network exposure.... they were pitches.... or partial pitches for a season with Hope's to get picked up for a full season.
But yes. Sitcoms were our nitch. Now we only have Tyler Perry's version. The writers strick changed everything for television in 2012.
Because It was part of the modern Black Renaissance era. The late 80's-early 90's. Black actors, directors, musicians, athletes, designers, producers and comedians, all came like a flood. We even created several new music styles around that time. You had Robert Townsend, Quincy Jones, Russell Simmons and Keenean Ivory Waynes producing a lot stuff (Def Comedy Jam, and In Living Color launched a LOT of careers). You had Spike Lee, John Singleton, The Hughes Brothers, etc. making a lot of movies. We dominated sports as usual with Michael Jordan, Deion Sanders, Bo Jackson, Ken Griffey Jr, etc. You had New Jack Swing, R&B and Hip-Hop launching a LOT of Black musical legends. I mean it was great. We was moving forward...and then....it slowed down.
@@Wis_Dom FACTS!! 👊
This show was awesome and should have never been cancelled! CBS really stands for Cancel Black Shows!
That and the reason they call it CBS cause that's all we C nowadays BS.
Good point!!🤔
Marcus Trice I Agree!🤔
So so true
The Jefferson's was the Only black show that lasted the longest on CBS. 11 seasons. 253 episodes. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
I hate CBS until this day for canceling this. They cancelled every black show they had during the early to mid 90s!
Dedrick McConnell I agree with you with this post as well
Dedrick McConnell yeah NBC and Foxx followed, look at the Marlon show, now it’s on Netflix
ikr?
Gregory Hines Show (1997) was pretty good.
I am still boycotting CBS to this day for cancelling Under One Roof and the return of The Arsenio Hall show.
Lucious before he started grinding and met Cookie..LOL
Herb Daniels this is wayyy before lucious. You should have said before the Best Man. He was really young here.
Did family matters come out first
@@naimhasan8154 Yes Family Matters came out before this show.
The punch lines on this sitcom is genius. Not surprised, George be killing it..
Michael before the parent hood!
What happened to that guy? Only one from that cast that's been recently active (other than Faizon Love) was Reagan Gomez on The Cleveland Show.
I don't hear anything about the you lady who played Cee Cee and the young man who played Nicholas .
yeah.i saw that!lol!
This show looks like a mixture of Parent hood and family matters lol
@@brandonbates9259 With the producers from "Head of the Class".
Wow. This is such a great show and amazing actors because it is informative and educational.
Wow never heard of it. Terrence Howard been putting in WORK.WOW.
Terrance Howard, used to play on show called Sparks with James Avery (Uncle Phil from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air), Miguel Nunez, and Robin Givens. He also played Jackie Jackson in the movie The Jacksons: An American Dream.
I have never heard of these shows, glad I'm able to watch these awesome black shows
I never heard of this show, yet it's good. Sadly, CBS didn't give it a chance to take off.
I never knew this decent show existed either. Wow!!
I'm 62 and don't remember this show at all😢
Thanks for the upload 💙
Never seen this show before.
Yeah I don't remember this either
Chris1 Smith it was only one season that’s why
i dont remember it
I ain't Neva heard of it ever, it says on Wikipedia it only aired 3 episode
Me neither
Thank you for uploading, it must have been challenging to get these classic sitcoms
It sucks that shows like this were cancelled after the first season and never put into syndication so I never got a chance to see them. I was only 5 when this came out.
Not even a full first season. I thing only 3 episodes ever aired
member berries Wooow. It’s actually funny I’m surprised there wasn’t a full first season.
Ya. I just double-checked and a few places online said that they made 4 episodes but only wound up airing 3 of them. This was the last episode to air.
I'm just glad that someone randomly taped it, and I wound up finding the tape to post here and preserve the work that went into make it, for people to see.
Back then BET was the dumping ground for canceled black shows but I don’t even remember making it to BET
Wow ! TFS. I've never seen this show. George Wallace. Annamarie is from Amen and the smaller son is from the Parenthood with Robert Townsend as his father. Terrance Howard is so cute.
Never heard of this show. Look at Terrence Howard can be looking handsome. Oooh.🙂
Me Neither.
Wow I never heard of this show before

This show honestly doesn’t seem too bad. I thought it was funny! And I love all the Philly references! Terrance Howard in the Temple sweatshirt! Yasssss!!!

I Never Seen This Show Before.
i take it this must have been on at the same time as George and Where I Live.i did read about a 1991 show that Terrence Howard played on but i dont know if its this or not.i think it went by another name.im not sure.but even then he could gone from one show to another
oh this was in 93?no wonder i might just have it confused with the other show then
I didn't even know this was a show
The comedians from the old school had real jokes that were actually funny lol 😂
"I'm not rich, My names is Harris, not Rockefeller, not Trump...."
That creep has been a part of American pop culture for decades!!🙄
@1MaineTV Maybe so but he was referencing Donald. He was very famous in the 90's🙄.
This show was too good
Yea it kinda had potential
Damn I’ve never even heard of this show. I would’ve loved it
REALLY? TERRANCE HOWARD was DETERMINED.......TO BE A HOUSEHOLD NAME. AND ANN MARIA HORSFORD IS A ICON.
I remember this show use to watch it when it aired in 93
No more stashing cash period! You must be crazy exclamation point! 😆😆🤣🤣🤣
Never heard of this show but I like it.

Wow never heard of it. Terrence Howard been putting in WORK.WOW.
Man i don't remember this show
This kid is way to damn honest, he needs to shut up
Who played the youngest kid, and did he go on to become a huge star? He was REALLY strong. Very funny. I never heard of this awesome show until now. Lol.
His name is Kenny Blank. He was on the WB Series "The Parent Hood"
I don't remember TDH in this sitcom it was Sparks whereas I remember him
I've come across the show when it ran once or twice. I only had the time and attention span for Martin, In Living Color, and Living Single. Family Matters and Fresh Prince were the only other black sitcoms I paid attention to. Otherwise, it was MTV and Nickelodeon. I was young!
Whoa! Turn up the heat getting little chilly in here now! 😆😆😆😂😂🤣🤣
I remember watching that show when I was 15 years old.
Omg i missed a lot of shows.

I never seen or heard of this show
I remember watching this as a kid when it first aired. Didn't know the name, took me a while scour old TV schedules to find out. For a moment, I wasn't sure if it even existed or I just mis-remembered it from my childhood.

Damn 3 never were aired lol now wonder why we all hate CBS
Tall Hopes from the Creators of Head of the Class
I dont remember this show wow
Dang, I’ve never heard of this show!!!
I remember this show 😃
I just Enjoyed this waw
2020 still
All these years...5 people in the house 2 of them are lightskin, they mama cheated on they dad and never told him
That seemed to be how it was on a lot of the Black shows- light and darker children. I guess the Producers made that a requirement and part of the deal if we wanted a sitcom.🤔
black sitcoms were green lighted in Hollywood after the success of the Cosby show.
Maxed out the $300 credit card. Cut it up before it ruins us. How quaint.
As the supporting wife not allowed to outshine the leading man, Anna Maria Horsford made me instantly fall in love. How cute 1993-everyone worried about credit card debt…before credit cards became a way of life thanks to our elected leaders.
post more episodes!!!
This is the only one I have!!!
@@rubbercarplor awww man :(
Now this show is awesome like 👍 all of them good 👍 shows
Taking off shows that should be on the air all of u should remember Angie. I heard Doris Roberts also felt it should not been canceled
Im gonna look it up.
Never heard of it
I never heard of this show
What’s the deal with CBS ??? Tall hopes & Charlie & Co. both TV shows with Black presenting families with Light-skin teenage sons.
Where can I watch the whole season? (Where Can I find more episodes?) 🤨
I didn't know anything about this show it must didn't last long
I have never seen this sitcom
CBS messed up.
thats why the vhf networks bought and supported the black shows because the uhf networks didnt care or and stopped caring
Really wow
Today it's gift cards!😂😂
And what's sad is that this wouldve be been one of FEW BLACK SHOWS without adding a HALF WHITE looking daughter... I should've known without that the show wouldn't have lasted. Almost 2020 and Hollywood is still about the bullshit
Well, look who has the middle name Dashon!
Never heard of this series before
I never heard of this. Must have been on cable?
It aired on CBS
Good Show!!🎉
And no more stashing cash PERIOD
Its that Terrance Howard😮😮😮
I thought that was a young Cuba Gooding Junior at first, first but then I saw those Terrence Howard eyes.
@member berries do you have the other episodes
Sorry, I don't.
I just found this one episode on a tape that I picked up from a garage sale.
Glad i was able to find it and preserve it here though

Back in the day there were no HD TVs. The quality is kind of fuzzy. We got new stuff now we need shoot TV shoes. Make sure to send HD hi definition crystal clear picture.😂
They dont have any scenes outside of their home
😂😂😂
