How cute and fun to make. I have the shrinky dink sheets but didn't know what to do with them. I wish my grandkids could come over my house. They would love it. Thanks Kim for the wonderful tutorial, you really sparked my imagination xoxo
Soon, people will be moving freely about again. Thanks for your comment. I am glad I could spark your imagination and help you use up some of your craft stash at the same time.
Oh how fun! The possibilities are endless. I love ❤️ ladybugs but keep giving away the Little Ladybug stamp sets as prizes, never keeping one for myself.
Shrinks Dinks!! Oh how fun. Thanks for the great project ideas in your video. I bet those would be fun as little duckie ear rings? When I was a kid we would get liver lids and colored them with sharpies and bake them in the oven as you did in your video we were just limited to the size of about 4 inches thank you. Have a good day.
Yes, the duckies would make great earrings. My earlobes are so big that I don’t wear the dangles but do many people do. You are only limited by your imagination. Have fun reliving your childhood days.
Just a quick tip: if you choose to shrink in the oven instead of the heat tool, parchment paper is better on your pan than aluminum foil. I personally use the heat tool blowing the hot air straight down the middle of your design. 💞
Such a great tutorial for fun making shrinky dinks. I have never used this material and now I know exactly what to do and how to use it. You are such a great teacher. Thank you!
Thanks Sue! I appreciate your comment and I’m so glad I sparked your creativity. I would not even attempt something like this these days without the help of my ScanNCut. Do share your Shrinky Dinks in our group.
Oh Kimberly, you really outdid yourself! I have this set and paper pumpkin set as well. I have never done this technique so now another reason why I love my ScanNCut and you! You took it to the top with this. Thank you, your talent is never ending. Fun days ahead with my granddaughter too.
Thanks Debra, I will love to hear back from you about how you and your Granddaughter made some of these. Heck, I love making them and you will too. Be a Big Kid and have fun with this project. I appreciate your comment.
You can also use your heat gun to shrink your material, I just use my pokey tool through the hole to hold them in place as they shrink and curl up, they will flatten out.
Annette, you are the second Crafty Friend to mention the heat tool today. I am Old School and used to baking them in the oven because I like to bake an entire batch at once. I like the idea of using the heat tool because then I don't have to leave my craft room to do the demonstration. So, even if can only heat one at a time, it will be fun for viewers to watch the magic happen. These are endless fun to make. Thanks for your comment.
Thanks Judy! I thought the ducks in rain coats went perfectly with this month’s Paper Pumpkin kit wilts the 🌧 rain theme. I’m glad the ducks made you smile.
We interrupt this course to make Shrinky Dinks. LOL! Thanks for watching this and for participating in my new course. I appreciate you supporting my channel.
Joan, You are the third person to mention that. You can only do one at a time that way but I will give it a try and see if I can hold it still will my pokey tool. I've never heated Shrinky Dinks that way.
Hi, another great video, thanks! I so wish I could subscribe to this from the uk (pumpkin)...Just one question please.....do they have to be particular pens to colour the shrinking? Keep the videos coming!!
Stephanie, they are going to allow the new kit to be sold globally so check out the Box of Sunshine Paper Pumpkin kit which comes out soon. I also wish you could get a month to month subscription. I use the Stampin' Blends and Sharpie Markers to color the Shinky Dinks. Here is another tutorial I created showing all of the steps to making them. ua-cam.com/video/9nk_6R7veT8/v-deo.html
You can stamp them and cut them out with scissors. I like how precise it is to cut it on the machine. The ScanNCut is amazing. Still, Cricut Design Space has a lot of great options too.
This entire tutorial was created using the SDX125 machine. You don't have to set the blade depth. It used Autoblade technology. I am currently working on a similar Shriny Dink tutorial using the CM350 or ScanNCut 2 so stay turned.
Stand by because I plan on creating a Shrinky Dink tutorial for the CM350. I’m experimenting soon because it’s been a while but I’m pretty sure tug need the Deep Cut Blade for this project.
Monika, this is what I think we will need. Coming soon (hopefully) - cutting out bunnies with our CM350 and making Shrinky Dinks. CM350 Deep Cut Blade: amzn.to/2DBKR2q
Janet Muehlbauer The Shrinky Dink tutorial for the CM350 or ScanNCut 2 is uploading now. I hope you will stay turned and watch that one as there are loads of tips and tricks in it.
The cards and shrinky dinks are so cute.

Cute as can be, Kimberly. What a fun addition as an embellishment. Thank you for another fun, fun, fun and instructional video!
You are very welcome Sharon. I figured with a lot of children home from school, this would be a fun family craft activity.

Leave it to you to come up with such a sweet idea. Thank you for your time and your heart. God bless.
Thanks. I played with Shrinky Dinks as a kid. It was fun thinking of a new way to use them for Spring crafts.
You can also use your heat gun to shrink your material, I just use my pokey tool through the hole to hold them in place as they shrink and curl up, they will flatten out.

That is brilliant. I’m always losing that plastic cover. Thanks for the suggestion.
So cute!! I was in the middle of watching your new Udemy Class - "Working With Fonts". Great video, so much information - love it!!

So so cute. I am wondering what you set your blade at? 4?

Papered Chef okay thank you
Will this work on the scan n cut 2? What number would I need to set it too?
