  • This famous ride of Laird Hamilton's on the incredible wave at Teahupo'o in Tahiti, is widely regarded as the most significant in surfing history.
The wave is considered a treacherous "freak" of hydrodynamics. Unlike any other in its mass, power and ferocity - sucking a huge amount of water back and exploding laterally onto an extremely shallow razor sharp reef.
Hamilton was captured riding this wave perfectly, and showed his amazing abilities in a stance that stopped a wipe out from the powerful hydraulics.
"Pray for Surf" is a slightly more melancholy surf track. Laird Hamilton has described his frustrations as a surfer when the oceans are calm - as being like a "dragon slayer when there are no more dragons"
This song is dedicated to all surfers who've gone without waves and prayed for surf!
