Weege Show: History Does Not Repeat Itself In Supercross

- Foxborough Supercross 2024: We went too far with the parallels between past seasons and this one. Jett Lawrence is an amazing rider and hasn't even messed up that badly, but one ill-timed pass attempt in Seattle, a head-on collision with Justin Barcia in St. Louis and a bad start in Foxborough is all it has taken for Cooper Webb to erase a 21-point gap. Incredible! So forget the MC-in-93 story, forget RC taking over from MC in 2001. Those were different years and just because we've seen something before doesn't mean we will see it again.
It's on for the next four races. In the 250 class, also!

Webb is 100% the best he has ever been
Haiden had a rough start with the bad wrist then the big crash in the first race. Then in the triple crown he was the fastest but hit a tough block. But now he is 100% and it's going to be a great 3 races to watch. Crashadoo Forkner and Deegan and Kitchen and R.J. are my favorite riders. I actually like even more then that. I expect the other riders to be better and faster because the have 4 to 10 years of experience more then him Haiden is the under Dog in my book that is why I am rooting for him to win.

The announcing for Foxorough seemed very ... off. It almost felt like the team was distracted the whole time, and in a kind of "observation battle". While that was happening, I was thinking how nice it would be if Weege was there to be the glue. Totally agree with everyone else commenting here - if Weege is up to it, make him the permanent anchor announcer!
Weege my boy's named Lane too. Not very common here in New Zealand. We named him after the bull rider Lane Frost who sadly got killed in 1989. Our Lane is 24 now married with a baby called James. Love your coverage thankyou for sharing your gifts with us all.

I miss the Weege being in the booth! Also I’m confused how Deegan suddenly has all this momentum? Yes he won a race but how many times have we seen guys seen a race and the next week they barely get a top 5? I know everyone is chubbed up over Deegan and that’s cute, but I have far more respect and admiration for Schock and Mcadoo
ok ..well thats adorable how you are telling us who you admire, but you obviously havent been paying much attention. Deegan is the fastest 250 rider right now.. he knows it, we all know it (you even know it, just cant admit it).. The kid would very likely be in the points lead if it wasnt for Hammaker who has taken him out multiple times. ..last race he was the fastest guy but had bad luck with a tough block ..that leading into a full on domination this week is called "momentum"
Schock is 8 years older than Deegan and McAdoo is at least 6 years older. There are a lot of sandbaggers in the 250 class.

Jett had a clean race, didn't crash, didn't get hit, simply didn't get uh hole-shot... he got 5th... Am I missing something?
That’s been Jett’s year and pretty much every riders year. If they don’t get a top 3 start they aren’t getting to the front. Everyone is closer in speed than people think 👍🏻
He was as far back as 17th at one point I believe 16sec back. He finished 5th 8sec back on a one lined track no one could pass on. What am I missing?
@@chrisbuehler6868 Webb’s gone from 16th to 4th this season too in Detroit. 👍🏻 Jett did do well last night but he gave up 21 points in three rounds. He hasn’t been good at all and acting like he has is being blind to reality

All the hype about the premier class to kick off the season, then facing the fact that Jett might run off with it, to being even up with just a handful to go. Honestly where did the time go. Gimme a Sexton win at the next one and oh boy, hold on!

History is Webb has always been late to the game, takes a few races for his speed to come on. What Webb did to Roczen, living rent free in his head is hopefully going to happen to Jett. Jett certainly has his youth, Webb has the experience. Great 2024 series!!!!

Jett has made #3 #2 and #1 (and others) step up and push him. You can see it in his riding. At times hesitant and reserved. Those bursts of speed appear to be brief and somewhat restrained. He's in the position where riding with the big picture in mind can be too limiting and WFO too risky. A tough balance indeed. And that has made this a great season of racing IMHO.
Oh yeah Weege in the booth. Diffey is just to loud and boisterous. Not to mention Weege knows the game far better.

Without upsetting anyone or putting any of your 10 jobs in jeopardy can you tell us why the booth announcers change constantly on the tv broadcast?
I can explain it to you. Network television is run by stiffs that don't know anything about the sports they cover. And they look for the biggest names and the one guy is a famous Motorsports announcer and since this is a motorsport that's all the equation they need. Ricky is the winningest Motocross rider so they figure he must be the one they have to have in the booth. They don't consider who really knows the sport we're giving good insight. If they did it would be weege and Bubba every week. Cracks me up the way Ricky is always giving advice about slow and steady for riders to advance when all he ever knew after his initial beginning was dominance. As if he knows anything about being anything other than a massively dominant champion.
Scheduling of other events and pay are also factors.

Jett didn't learn from cutting down early on guys after barcia he did the same to Tomac but Tomac was able to avoid him and caused Tomac to lose time on him
Didn't mention Tomac looking like his old self on a good day, then just went from about 5th at the start back to 10th then no real fight to get back to 4th like Jett did. 😮 Tomac and Webb looked like it was their race to lose all day....but Tomac was the loser 😢
Did you not see Tomac wash out and crash while he was in 5th, then get up in front of Jett and then they raged through the pack together? He rode well just not as well as Jett did.
Tomac did what he has done for the last two years on the new bike which is fade badly late in races . He goes from like 4 seconds down to 19 seconds down , ridiculous .
The top 3 all stayed around 12 seconds ahead of Jett

Just because he announced Olympic Games doesn’t make him a decent supercross announcer & #4 can’t carry him. He makes you appreciate weege who is not really that great but super friendly & has been around a while. Maybe recently retiring #9 with rc & weege could bring new energy. Bubba experiment not much better. Emig would be the best choice but since he & rc stopped their podcast & rv was introduced 😮 that ain’t gonna happen. Never did hear why they broke up nbc brass don’t like emig for various reasons too bad for us 😢

💯 call on McAdoo, he isn’t going to win the title settling for 2nd place, that 250 Kawasaki is an extremely good bike and I will say even better then the YZ, he needs to send it if he is to beat Deegan now.
I agree with you but Diaper boys bike is no slacker. It is a fast bike and just as good as the PC KX. Its going to come down to the rider. Come on McAdoo!

We van honearly say Deegan was hirt the first half of the season and overriding the injuries. Jett was hurt at the last race and I am not sure he isnt a little sore still and that may have played into him not getting on the podium. We know him and his brother will ride hurt and not make excuses. Even hurt they ride better than most guys healthy. He joust didnt have enough at the end to make the push through.
Jett just about got T boned again by Tomac by making the same mistake yet again, if it was anyone else but Eli he woulda been on the ground again, dumb choices.

Not everyone thought or said when Jett won 3 in a row thought it was over. Every year we listen to you so called experts before the season begins predicting, analyzing all through the year. Changing your opinions and your analysis, but yet always proven wrong.
