These guys have been around for a long time. They should have made it way bigger. So good at guitar playing and singing. They used to play with all family members. It’s a different line up but still overlooked. Mato can rip on the guitar. Dvds, cds and even vhs tapes now on utube. I know they always ask Mato Nanji to play Experience Hendrix. And to think some people never heard of them. The sister used to play the drums. The brother played bass and a cousin played bongos.

I remember when these cats came out in 98, loved them right away. SRV roots! Haven’t listened to anything from them for a few years now, glad to see them still making music. Even though some original members have moved on.

Good to see Mato still kicking ass takes me back to the early days late 90s when I saw them at Toad's Place in New Haven I was a fan ever since I picked up their album "things we do" and I'll never forget the first time I heard "blues from the sky" and "live from the Pachyderm Studios CDs" the Rendition of red house blew me away..he's had a pretty sweet change in lineups over the years but it makes me feel good to know that music like this is still out there alive and well in such a garbage market today.

Never heard of Mato before 2 nights ago when I saw him with the Experience Hendrix show in Eugene Oregon. He was a standout among greats on stage. His laid back style reflects Hendrix better than the bombastic irritating guitar pummeling of Joe Satriani. I can hear echos of Hendrix in the songs here. In fact, at 44:30 he uses the intro to Axis Bold as Love.

Good job on the audience recording, tomorrow when I won't wake up the family I'll have to play some of your clips on the big system but listening through headphones now sounds darn good. Also a testament to the sound at Sellersville, while not the absolute best I've ever heard that Meyer system is quite good. I noticed if you're back too far though it gets a bit too much of an ambient sound, I prefer the sound closer to the stage there. Never recorded anything there other than a few cell phone memories but it seems like a good venue. I wonder how the soundboard feed would be or mix into this. I'd love to see a rundown of your gear and what you're doing to get good sound quality, you have a ton more experience than I do and I'd like to learn. Such a solid sound, I do hear a hint of what sounds like mpeg compression artifacts, like a "swishy sound" especially in the highs but that's likely compression youtube applies, I'm guessing your original wav files are better. Also you can hear some people talking now and then, I almost thought it was someone in my house and took the headphones off briefly only to realize it's the audience. With all the overproduced studio stuff that's out there now this is so refreshing to hear, really glad I stumbled upon your channel.

My experiences with getting board patches at the Sellersville Theater have not been good so I don't even ask any more. This room is probably the best sounding room in the Philly area, so using mics usually does the trick. I agree that the audio might sound better closer to the stage BUT, the house manager insists as far back as not to have my gear in the way of any patrons, so sometimes that means I'm in the back few rows.
I really wonder how much the audio quality of my uploads suffers due to YT's compression.

@@JeffSq I don't think many people listen to youtube on audio gear you'd notice a difference on nor do many even care. I don't know your age but I think the days of great sound went down with convenience and compressed formats. I have a hard time, sometimes impossible time discerning a 320K mp3 files from the uncompressed but on material I know well I can definitely hear the difference. I remember when XM radio came out they were running ads, CD quality sound so I got one in my car (old Sony thing)... my friend and I thought it sounded like shit compared to any cd, really terrible. Actually I find they compress different stations more than others and the more going on in the music the worse it sounds, I generally play bluegrass or acoustic in the car for that reason. As for Sellersville yeah, I was really happy with the sound there compared to many other venues. Probably the best I've heard was a place in NYC called the Makor, it was delightful, another Meyer sound system too. Down in Asbury Park the wonderbar, horrible sound, Stone Pony is actually pretty good but the place is often packed. Close to my house the state theater, not great, Count Basie in Red Bank downright awful and grating plus they insist on deafening us. City Winery in NYC also not bad but not great. Last year we went to. Nashville and quite a few places did sound well, saw a show at The Factory (Music City Roots) with Jimmy Hall and friends, omg, that was a moment I'll never forget, he lit that place up like nobody's business, it was great. We see more shows locally at Woodbridge, it's only 20 minutes away and I know the guy that does the booking. They have music in that town 6 nights a week but the real gems come on Wednesdays and Sundays. I started with taking photos, then some clips with my cell phone there and when I got a dslr that did video tried that, one thing led to another and I started wanting to record as many shows as possible. There's value in what you do, right now my wife and I are watching Deb Callahan from 3.28.2018. Truly glad I found your channel, we'll enjoy many of these shows you've taped!

Indigenous? Am I missing something? It’s quite crazy how they are attempting to play the music of the real aboriginals of this land.Blues,Rock,Jazz and all other American genres were created by American negros aka the American Indian or American aboriginals.🤦🏾‍♂️ Y’all are now attempting to join in the sector of rap and hip hop as well. When will the following and identity theft end? Native Americans are from Siberian and became American after the purchase of Alaska in 1867.The slave was not us.There is still a tribe in Alaska name the slave tribe they speak an Athabaskan language similar to Siberians and Navajo
