- This one took a long time to make, hopefully you like it! I've become very interested lately in different PC setups and especially interested to see how they will run the games I enjoy, such as BeamNG.drive. Thankfully the game is very scalable and will play on basically anything at the lowest settings. The NVIDIA GT 610 is probably not the best for this type of thing but it was fun to stress it out with BeamNG at max settings, even though that didn't last long....
Zotac.... hit me up for a sponsorship.... I'll run BeamNG on anything

How does BeamNG play on your PC?
good, because i paid 350€ for a gtx 1660 :crysun:
Not great but it runs at 60 on medium ish
Poorly... my gtx 950 with 2GB tries but it is not a nice game experience....
@@Jose-Sousa how? my mx150 runs it great
I run the gridmap with 30-40 fps on low graphics. So amazingly I'd say
Me, who can't even run the italy map: "hmm... interesting"
You might need both a GPU and a CPU.
@@Ferrari255GTO more ram
@@gabrielv.4358 not 100% true necesarily. I used to play with only 2Gb of Ram in a early 2000's computer. It was an older version of the game so obviously italy wasn't there, but i still could run the larger maps, it just took forever to load.
@@Ferrari255GTO weird. BeamNG doesnt loads maps because it says not enough memory, even with 40gb of hdd ram
Edit: on my side

I got the 1gb gt 550M in a 2011 Dell XPS l702x and the i5-2430m and it actually runs it good. 12gbs of ram too. Only reason beamng doesn't complain because they use the same drivers. But the 550m I have overclockd to 750mhz. from 475! I'll use it until I get a Dell optiplex with a gtx 1060

Yup and I never turn my pc off I don’t know how it has not died haha
I remember rigs of rods, I was playing on a bargain gpu that had only 32MB of vram...Now I feel old
i remember running Rigs of Rods on my old dual core pc with 2 GB of ram and i played that game like everyday for years, now looking back at it is like looking at my childhood
Back before I got my first Windows 7 machine in 2011, this was my experience running Rigs of Rods. I legit could only spawn in the simplified cars with a low beam count like the older trucks that "rorbot" actually sat inside of. I remember convincing my brother to let me try Rigs of Rods on his slightly more beefy computer and was blown away at how good it ran outside of the super beefy vehicles like the Tatra T813 Dakar (I loved how detailed that thing looked and sounded, especially the hydraulic shifting sounds).
Rigs of rods was the shit!
@@FerrariTeddyI still play it even tho I can run beam at 110 fps no one can kill rig of rods
dang, it really gives off that 2005 pc gaming vibe at lowest settings
I have no recollection of watching this video

At least it works
I had a dell precison desktop with a 2nd gen i7 that had integrated graphics, so I put a GT610 in. I remember when the Automation update came out and you could export your car to the game, all my cars were naturally aspirated, because the computer was so slow it would some reason not spool the turbos if the FPS was too low. Had it for about 4 years, then I got a GT1030 and enjoyed 60fps on full low settings. I have finally evolved to a Ryzen 7 2700x and an RTX 2060.
Funny how things progressed, thanks for the story
Oh damn, R7 2700x and an RTX 2060 were my old specs..
I got a 2060 anf i5 9400f :(

i have i5 10 th gen and intel uhd g1 with 8 gb ram, lowwest 60 fps full hd

Awesome video! I love reviewing low end hardware and making it stretch. Since the chip shortage isn’t ending any time soon this content will be important.
i love videos like this and id love to see more of this kind of content in addition to the usual automation content
I appreciate it

One day people will be cramming BeamNG into anything with a screen just to see if it can run it. Move over Doom.
beamng on a steamdeck
BeamNG on a Nokia 3310.
BeamNG on a ps1
I love seeing people compare pricing with system requirements, I have a pre built that I found on marketplace and needed a gpu, rtx 2060 ti found on marketplace and I’m roughly $500 in a setup
I watched this while playing Mon Bazou on an i5-4300 with no dedicated GPU. At the lowest settings I could get maybe 20 fps and a guarantee I was about to get third degree burns
do you have a fan
this brings me back to when i used to play on potato laptops before i built my rig
You should disable parts collisions, makes a BIG difference
4 years ago, I was able to play the game at 720p on the absolute lowest settings. Now I can comfortably run at max 1440p settings in West Coast USA with AI traffic. The only bit in my PC that's the same is the power supply
The airflow concept is, well... interesting. 2 Fans on the front, thats good of course but there is glas in front of them instead of mesh :|. This means that the air can't do more than watch your fans rotate, even though it actually wants to get into the case. And that's why your CPU gets so hotk. Apart from that, the graphics card is quite sagging. And, of course, this could be different on your mainboard than on most, the RAM is in slots 1 and 3... (Typically the RAM is in slots 2 and 4 but as I said, this could also be different on your mainboard).
Gtx 740 16 gb ram intel core i5 4590 3.30 ghz is installed on my computer but ı have not downloaded any beamng
Now imagine running Automation on an equivalent CPU... I think if some one tries that, they should also keep a fire extinguisher handy. :D
I remember when you built your current system, it was just about the same time as I was building mine. Basically just before the crap hit the fan for pc builders. If I wanted to build an equivalent pc now I could not afford it.
I built an sff pc with a 3700x, a 2070, and tons of ram and storage. Been very happy that I decided to build it when I did.
I'm generally between 80 to 100fps in Beam with the "high" setting preset. But I do have my GPU capped at 99fps in the Nvidia control panel since my monitor is a 100Hz panel. I tried "ultra" with Beam but it was a bit unstable, so high is f\good enough for me.
Yeah your PC is very similar, the ryzen/etc combo is a good one and I think it's going to be good for a long time. Especially at 1080p
@@automotiveflux out of curiosity, what made you pick win10 pro over home? all it brings is company management tools

Windows Home edition is not an "incomplete" version, and it hasn't been since the Home/Professional split existed. Are you thinking of Windows 10 S mode? That's the one that blocked apps from outside Windows Store.
I'm above the recommended specs, but I still have to play the game on the lowest graphics, and more than 2 other cars murders my framerate. But I can deal with it
Specs?
I have a Lenovo laptop, with a okay processor, but with no dedicated gpu, because of that, i need to play with the max of 2 cars, a barely hitting 20 fps, and thinking i have almost 400 hours of gameplay, you realy need to love this game, to play in this way for so long, i can't wait to upgrade my laptop.
Use lowest settings. If the cpu has less than 6 cores it will barely run
@ it is in the lowest 🥲
@@henzofontes1g856 Probably you have a celeron or pentium. I played more than 1000 hours at that framerate lol! I recommend you get a new laptop, with at least an Ryzen 5500u.
i used that same brand laptop it was like 2 to 5 fps because of 1 AI CAR 1!
The fact Beam even runs on this card is crazy.
Play on lowest settings possible, at 1280x720, use 16gb of ram and an add
I'll guarantee you that you can run beammg drive between 30 to 60fps really stable
I play using an Intel core i7 7700k, Intel HD 630, 2x8gb ram 3200mhz and an SSD to have an stable experience with integrated graphics
Remember to buy cooling system and s second case fan
If you're using the i7 that I mentioned above, I clocked it at 4.60ghz and have a nice experience with stable temps
Using low traffic gives me a value between 25-40fps
I don't have a gaming pc. Would it run on an HP Pavilion x360 convertible laptop?
depends on the specs
Brings me back to when i installed a cracked version of beam on my old ahh desktop... And it ran at 15fps max and cooked the integrated graphics
my old setup had a GT-1030, then i eventually got a GTX 970 4 GB MSI
i had a mobile gpu from 2012 (the gt 730m on a german company laptop) and it handled beamng suprisingly well, for being a very old gpu
Its more cpu demanding + which version you played?
i tried all the publically listed demo's and older versions.@@pr3ssstart
Hey that's me!
Ryzen 2200u 8gb ram suffering. Vega 3. And a slow hard drive.

Do u think a sky-tech gaming chronos mini with a amd Ryzen 3 3100, 8gb of ram, Nvidia GeForce 1650, 500gb ssd run Beamng drive (or forza horizon 5??)
It will run but expect medium/low settings for 60fps, I haven't tried it on a GTX 1650 but I know it's similar to a GTX 780 that I've tried before. Forza should run fine
The screen capture on the 610 reminded me of kids making youtube videos on their iphone 4's
my specs are a core i5 4560k and a gt1030 with 8gigs of ram do you think i should upgrade? i play with no traffic at max setting around 30-45 fps i also have beamng at 1080p
more ram would help
Dude i have 16gb ram and intel uhd 620 on the lowest settings except shadows display resolution 720p i get around lowest 28 and higest 40 or like 41 fps (playable) Suggestions: press f11 serch the level info and set visible distance to 200 it will give you an excellent fps boost :)
13:44 hey man, stop complaining about the low resolution, just look at that high resolution HUD!
Once I tried to turn on beam on my laptop (it’s a 2019 dell with a 7th gen i3) and the game was running at like 7 fps max. But as soon as I hit something, I ended up with a bugsplat on my screen, although the laptop is more of a work computer than a gaming beast so fair enough I guess.
I got a dell with an i5 and gtx like 1000 or some shice but it might run good because I’ve searched up my pc specs and it’s also from Alienware to so all of them are running at 60 degrees Celsius on ultra high so guess I’m lucky
That's strange I have a budget 2015 laptop with a n series pentium and I get about 20 fps on lowest settings 480p
I play beamng in a thinkpad t440 with a 4th gen low voltage core i5, 8gb of ram in single channel and integrated graphics, I get slightly better framerate(like 5~7 fps) in smaller maps but in bigger maps like italy crashes sometimes.
I feel you dude, i used to play the pre alpha version on a very early 2000's pc that didn't reach 4gb of ram XD. Keep pushing eventually you will get yourself a pc that does the job. It's been a long while to get where i am and luck was required, but i have a nice GPU (XFX RX580 8GB) and an okay-ish CPU (i5 6400) with 16Gb of RAM (using up all 4 slots XD)
I feel you on this one I used to have a slow Walmart pc it was a pre-built and now i got a 3050 laptop because I was in desperate need of it
How do you play at such low fps. When I was young and my computer couldn’t run it very well, I mowed lawns until I could afford a computer that could. It took a couple years but that PC was able to play beamng and many others for 6 years.
i'm guessing the better framerate was due to integrated graphics using shared memory, while the card in the video most likely was only allowed to use 2gb of dedicated memory
My PC is crashes when I try to load a map I have a 1660 super
This has given me hope. I'm waiting on 16gb ddr3 ram that I ordered. Also might get a rx580 or gtx 1650 if I have enough money on my birthday.
Ive wanted to play beamng for a long time and only want to play with high fps and 1080p.
That should be enough for medium settings 1080p
@@automotivefluxI had a rx 580 with a ryzen 7 1700 16gb and i used high just vram was often maxed out with mods on
I got a 1660s and 11700f now and I can run it high even 60+ on some maps. :)
i tried with 940m + i5-5200u 8 gb ram and it can barely get half fps (0.5 fps)
oh and i forgot it was at max settings with no undervoltage
This is how i used to play beamng on laptop before I got my gaming pc.
I would have to play a downgraded version just for it to run decently.
With my first pc I played fortnite at the lowest settings with less than a quarter 3d resolution at about 20 fps. Still have all the parts of that machine.
Nice video i have always been thinking what beamng runs on its listed pc requirements
Through all the systems I have played beamng on the gpu was never the problem. As long as I got over 40fps I was happy. The problem was always a low power cpu making the game unplayable with more then a few cars. I find multiple cars and traffic to be most of my fun in beam so I ordered 5900x. Something like a rx570 can run the game at normal graphics while only being around 100 bucks and you can shell out to buy a better cpu. Rn I have a 5600x and 3060ti and get 60 fps with 12 cars and graphics settings maxed. Hoping for 30 cars when the new cpu gets here :)
CPU and GPU are so damn expensive in my country, so I just play with what I have, which are:
CPU: Intel i5 2400 @3.10gHz.
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon R7 200 Series
RAM: 8 GB
Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate
Some power supply
Philips 192EL LED Monitor.
Some ASUS Motherboard
"CPU runs a little bit hot" *shows CPU running at a much more than fine 58c while gaming*
my pc: LOOK AT WHAT THEY NEED TO MIMIC A FRACTION OF OUR POWER 👉
almost 5k for that pc is CRAZY, you can get a pc with those specs for like 2k
I begun playng on pc using my brother's 2001 ish pc that he bought around 2009/10 (can't remember exactly) to play flash games, it didn't even have 4gb of RAM and it had some old intel CPU that i don't even remember. It ran like absolute 4SS but i still enjoyed it a lot. Eventually the thing gave up and my brother bought another pc, quite a bit better but it was a prebuild from the shop and they had installed a terrible GPU (although with the mouth watering pricetag of 300 bucks it was to be expected). Eventually i bought a GPU to use with my brother's pc, an RX580 8GB, and that thing exploded my head off my body with how much the computer improved. Couple of years after i got my own current system that i inmediately shoved the RX580 into and i put the GTX650 it had into my brother's pc since it was still a decent upgrade if you compare it to the card it came with originally (yes it was that bad). My current pc has an i5 6400, 16Gb RAM, 2Tb of space (1Tb hdd, 500gb hdd, 500gb M.2) and as i mentioned earlyer the RX580 8GB. Next step is either going for a i5 7800k used or just going with a new mb and cpu entirely. So far i love the PC building journey.
PC building is a ton of fun
Still better than when i had the intel hd 4600, i'm so happy of the fact that i buyed the quadro k2200, i was at 15 on lowest graphics
Ps: i was playing in 1080*700
Ok i take it back

I played the game in my toaster computer from 2018 until 2021 (i3 3220 2core 3.30Ghz, MSI Nvidia GT1030 2Gb Gddr5 and 12Gb of RAM memory) capped to """"60fps"""" (because it was unstable in some parts) in native res (1360x768) I stopped playing because of the prossesor. Everything in the config was in the lowest config, and I have to wait 30 minutes to Italy map to load, so I never played it. Totally a torture to see, but it was fun to play the other maps.
