I have a 1980 MGB with the world's tightest steering wheel. The nut was actually no problem at all. Pulling the wheel is another story. I saw a contraption someone made with 2x4s and long bolts. I made a similar and used it with an $18 steering wheel remover (Amazon) and all it did was mutilate and destroy the blocks. For a really tight wheel like mine, you have to get everything as close to the center of the hub as possible. I made a template with cardboard and went to my local steel fab dude - had 2 plates made of 1/4" steel with holes for the through-bolts and a 1 1/2" hole for the front plate and a 1 1/2" wide slot for the back plate. It cost me $50 but well worth it. Just wish I ended it more than once.
Air hammer worked for me after two days of trying multiple different ways
Alex, well put together video. Nicely done. Thanks for posting. Quick ? I have a 1978, "Margie", did you make your wood dash or purchase? It almost look like it fits over the original. Again Thanks.
that was a purchased dash. I was tempted to make my own, but my wife found this one online. And it turned out to be a quality product.
I did a video on our dash restore. check this one out

MGs aren't rusty.
LOL
@@AlexPlatacis Old Ford and Chevrolet and Dodges are really rusty cars. :)
They don't rust, they oxidize very easily.
