Multi-display DraStic is great for portable DS emulation

  • Exporting to an external display in DraStic has been possible for quite some time but rarely mentioned. This short shows how to get started with it.
    Extra notes:
    - A downside to a handheld setup as shown in the video is the need to access the USB-C port. This will likely block any clip on controllers, unless yours manages to allow for USB-C passthrough.
    - Unrelated to emulation, this same method could be used to create a hyper portable Dex or Screen+ setup with the right peripherals.
    Disclaimer:
    We use a review sample of Mechanism's phone mount for this video that Mechanism sent us for free. Though, we never consulted them about DS emulation before making this video.

    Why not use the LG Wing's 2 displays?

      DraStic doesn't work across the Wing's displays

      Do you have links on amazon for the phone mount and universal grip?

    When I do this with the Odin 2 the monitor screen is rotated. Do you know how to fix it ?

    • @GameXData
      @GameXData  Місяць тому

      Oh, interesting. I don't know of any settings in the app to specifically rotate the external screen. Here are some options to consider for your second screen though:
      If you're using a phone, I might recommend verifying that auto rotate is turned on and actually rotating the screen. UVC apps (like USB Camera Pro) should also have settings to rotate input video manually if needed.
      On a more standard monitor, the easiest method might be to go into your monitor's device settings and rotate the view 90 degrees to compensate (landscape to portrait). It's not ideal but should force the video feed into the right orientation.

      I mean, this video just demonstrates using video out with DraStic. If they aren't already using a phone to emulate DS games, why would this video even apply to them?
