A "normal" cat mother lays on her side to nurture and only gets up when one of the kittens goes astray. Thank god Kiki still has Coco, camera-man and toys. Mimi is over-protective to a degree I've never seen in a cat.

Mother cats can get very stressed if someone touches their newborn babies (their mother instincts are very high for first couple of weeks, varies from cat to cat) which happened here. She is desperately finding a safe enclosed space for her kitten to feel safe
Please give Mimi and her baby a place to hide. She is clearly trying to protect her baby from outside distraction. I am concerned that Mimi feels stressed and that is why she is looking for a place to hide her baby.

It's also possible that Mama Mimi thinks that the other 3 kittens that didn't make it were taken away by the owner. So she is all the more protective with the only one left. That apart, I think the filming should take a break. Very many pets on youtube are stressed and there is no way they can tell.

It is best not to touch kittens until they are at least a week old, it stresses the mother cat when her babies are messed with. She may move them and hide them.

Mimi feels exposed and unsafe. As much as we love to see the evolution of the little one, please stop bothering them, stop putting the light on them and make them a more reclusive place, so Mimi can feed and raise her baby peacefully. Stress will change Mimi's milk formula, she will produce stress hormons. We will have to wait for 2 months to see them again. Meanwhile, we can watch Coco's adventures.

I believe Mimi would appreciate a box with a top to provide some security.
Yes, perhaps a large box turned on one of its wide sides would work. It would also protect the kitten from drafts. Another idea would be to buy a kennel and cover it with a blanket, with the exception of the front of the kennel so you can keep an eye on Mimi and the kitten, and with layers of cozy blankets and a small litter box on the floor of the kennel. You can also close the door of the kennel when needed to keep the kitten from wandering.

For few days until kitten becomes little more bigger let them give a private moments so that they feel comfortable. Usually mother cats chenges seven places while raising their kittens. Lot's of love to Mimi family 💝💝💝
For those who after 3 months since Kiki was born still ask why only one kitten: she's the only one who survived from the litter. And for those who complain about the box and lack of space: this video is OLD and Kiki now walks freely out of the box and around a designated area fir the cats. She even has toys, etc. She looks very healthy and very well taken care of from her human dad.

確かに毛布の折り返しがあった時はその中に隠そうという行動をしていたけど折り返しの無い毛布の上ではどうにか穴を作って中に入れたいっていう感情が伝わってきた。猫飼ったことないけど本能なんだろうね。主さんが撮影してくれるおかげでこういう貴重な映像が見れるのはもちろんだけど猫の子育てを最優先してあげるともっといいのかなとも思った。なんか根拠がどうとか言ってる人いるけど見てわからないなら説明しても理解できないと思う

I am glad to see Mimi seems recovered and has arrived motherhood. But she has no private sphere. So she is extremely stressed. Please respect that. I know that you want always the best for your cats. But in the moment, mummy Mimi and her baby need a lot of quietness, very less filming. And no appearance of Coco in the next days.
I have had many cats in my lifetime, but she is one of the sweetest, loving, mommas that I've ever seen. She may have been raised around her mother, and they actually DO train the females about parenting...I've seen the difference many times. Those who spent time with their mothers, or a mother figure just know exactly what to do, while others who did not have that benefit still mother well, but especially at first, are like "What just happened?" Thank you so much for taking care of these sweet babies...

Genau, diese Cotton Tuch ist nicht sehr warm, gib ihr eine warme Decke zum kuscheln und warm haben...und versuch den Kitten noch zu füttern, mit Flässchen, Pipette oder ähnlichem...sichtbar geht ihm nicht gut und Mimi hat nicht viel Erfahrung, sie lebt nicht in einer Katzengemeinschaft🤔🤔
